Please check and verify because I don't know of a green valley spa in Mesquite, Nevada but there is one in St. George, Utah. I stayed there in June of 2012 and I liked it very much. It is very much a family place with lots of kids but they are/were well mannered and we just had a lot of fun.

My friend and I treated ourselves, or so we thought, for a fun stay at Green Valley Spa and Tennis Resort this summer, in St. George, Utah. I scheduled five days and my friend scheduled 7 days. It is taking me this long to enter a review as I would have hoped Green Valley would have offerred me an apology or compensation for problems I encountered. They did neither and insultingly told me I could do nothing about it. As we paid $435.32 per day for lodging, food, and fitness classes, we expected good, operating facitities. To be brief: one pool was NOT heated as advertised, and the other only barely warmer than outside air; absolutely NO WATER (that includes toilets) from late evening until three P.M. the next day (we were told to go over to the public facilities which were across the compound, past the tennis courts, past the dining room...you get the picture. For myself, my lock did not work until the third day, when it still wasn't fixed, but at least they finally gave me a key to the back gate so I could at least go in without hunting all over the grounds for a housekeeper each time I wanted to enter my room. (The housekeeper search occured each time I wanted to enter my room for three days, and oftentimes that person was difficult to find as only one of them had a key to the back door.) My room was not made up at all (including bed, linens) one day, and sloppily done on two of the others. I hesitate to state any place as "terrible", but I've stayed in cheap and expensive places and these accomodations, although beautiful in landscape and room appearance, were so very offset by what was lacking, not working, or poorly done. The kitchen cooks/servers and hiking guides were excellent. The fitness teachers were from average to totally unconcerned with the students in their classes, which understandably numbered usually four or five. I would NOT recommend staying here, but perhaps at the resort found just a few miles north which although I haven't stayed there, we were told by others staying at Green Valley was nicer and far less expensive and offered equal activities with hiking right out your room door.
