They actually have a ton of types of beer and they are really good. We sampled a few sours, an IPA, and a few stouts and porters. Great people behind the bar too!
3.5 starsSante Adairius is doubtless the locals' favorite when it comes to breweries, and Luci N. & I had been salivating in our steins for months, waiting for our chance to try em out.We stopped in on a breezy Saturday afternoon, parched and eager to sample the day's offerings. The brewery, like many, is located in an industrial building. Seating is mainly inside, with the bar in one room and another seating area in an adjacent room.We found the crowd friendly enough, though we seemed to be the only non-regulars. Our dogs, who are a bit timid in crowded environments, were a bit overwhelmed by a couple of the dogs, one of whom was allowed to wander free and was mixing it up very aggressively with a couple other dogs. Compared with the reviews of others, we were a bit disappointed. We aren't big fans of sours or saisons, and the beers we tried, though good, were nothing memorable. The beertender reluctantly poured a few samples after we pressed a bit; I didn't feel like there was an opportunity to ask about styles, taste, hops and so on; they were just too busy that day.Based on the reviews from their extensive fan base, we decided to come back soon and try another experience here! We'll be back soon.
Don't let the location in a business park area fool you, this is a nice microbrewery with a nice selection of very good beer. The staff was very friendly and helpful in deciding what to try. We visited on a warm day and most of the customers stayed in the area outside for enjoying the beer. This area is also dog friendly. We enjoyed talking with other visitors. There were a lot of customers coming in to fill growlers so this says something for the quality of the beer. We enjoyed our visit and will go again to see the expanded tasting room!
Not your typical brewery with the same boring options. They are serving high quality beer at great prices. The bar staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable. Beautiful bar with space set aside outside to enjoy your brew. We really loved the 4 grain Saison. The Chavez and West Coast IPA (831?) was also delicious. Great stop for beer in Santa Cruz. Bring your own food because none is available here. Dogs also welcome!
Best of the best. Thank goodness they just purchased new brewing equipment so will stop running out of beer and breaking hearts. Seriously 831 is a great IPA. No food at time of this review so bring your own. Seating limited and a little off the beaten path but there's a pint of gold waiting at the end of the rainbow!
