Dog-friendly outdoor seating, and wood-fired pizzas along with some interesting cocktails. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but hey, its not meant to be a fast-food joint. Highly recommended - we go a couple of times a month.
Most unique bar feature has a refrigeration panel running along the top of the bar so you can place your beer or drinks to keep them frosty cold from beginning to end. Flatbread pizzas are excellent as well. Right next door to El Dorado Saloon but has a cozier lounge feel.
4 couples,4 Groupons, 1 waitress,1 bartender,1 chef and a Saturday night = a long wait but the two ladies working did a wonderful job and were not flustered. I had a specialty drink called the Uptown and it is Yummy! Hint of basil with fruit and Vodka. We had Four different Pizza's and shared and they were all very good and Wood Fired to perfection. The Garlic knots are cheesy and garlicky and come with Ranch Dressing for dipping. I had a Ceasar Salad and it comes with the dressing on the side, love that!! fortunately we were not in a hurry ANC had lots of time to enjoy each other's company. From start to finish the mealwas almost three hours but it reminded me of my visit to Italy where they have long dinners with family and friends and if is very enjoyable!!
We have been here several times and always enjoy it. We sit at the bar and use the ice rail for drinks. The restaurant even has a fireplace. The pizza is quite good with a thin crust and generally the smaller pizza is large enough for two. We used the groupon deal last time. It was a great bargain.
We went to Sauce'd to use a Groupon. We briefly walked into the building and I didn't catch any of the amenities described in the profile above and in the other reviews such as the ice bar rail. That is too bad as that would have been an interesting part of the experience had we known. We chose to sit outside on the porch which is shaded by oaks, and it was very relaxing and pleasant. The waitress was friendly and prompt and immediately asked if we had a Groupon and we said yes. She then outlined what we could order, which was actually quite a few choices. We settled for a Caesar salad (spelled wrong on the menu and on the website) and a Buffalo Blue pizza. Both were good, but probably not memorable in the long run. We were surprised that we weren't encouraged to try anything off the Groupon deal, which we would have been amenable to doing--we didn't even receive a bill of any kind and were never asked if we wanted anything else. We wanted to be fair and tip based on the actual (not coupon) price of the food and had to basically figure it out ourselves with no bill. We might go again if we are in the area, but it was not a memorable enough experience to add to our short list of "usual" places to go...some of which we have added after using a Groupon and liking what we experienced.
I think this restaurant is a nice addition to the Embarcadero shopping center in El Dorado Hills. I would recommend if you can going when it is happy hour to help cut costs. The drink I would recommend is the Hot Italian, it is a mixture of sweet and spicy. They also have many other mixed drinks, wine, and beers to choose from. I HIGHLY recommend the Thai Chili buffalo wings. They have great flavor and are moist on the inside with the perfect amount of crisp on the outside. Their pizzas are think crust, almost flat bread type. I get the chicken and herb white. Very delicious. The one down side to this place is the service can be kind of slow. An additional two servers would be ideal. At minimum expect to be there 2 hours. On Thursday nights a fun jazz duo play there. Eat outside if the weather permits because it can get a little loud inside.
Ice bar rail, fireplace, mixology cocktails. Cozy atmosphere and great service. we heard great things about Sauced and very glad we stopped in.
Alright. I usually don't really make judgements against "next to the same business, businesses". But, I'm going to here. The atmosphere in Sauce'd is great and the service is as good as it gets. My reservation is that it seems to be nothing more than a welcoming to the EDH Saloon, right next door. On one hand, I'd be happy if those who own these two establishments, bought out the whole area. I'm sure it would be more welcoming and valuable than what all sits in that place now. We didn't have a chance to eat here but ther wood burning pizza oven was the one thing that I'd go for in a minute. Next trip? Go for a pizza, have a coupla cocktails and hit the dance floor at EDH Saloon!
