Downtown Redlands still has some of the charm missing in many other places, although the recession has taken it's toll. State St. is shaded by a dense umbrella of trees extending several blocks. Nice walking territory. Some highlights: a big antique/collectibles emporium, comic book shop, Baskin Robbins. On Orange St, not far away, Trader Joe's. Just a pleasant place to take in small town atmosphere.

We went to 2 restaurants and in several shops. I would like to see the shops have similar hours of operation. Many were when we went in the morning, then when we returned in the evening they were open, and the ones who are open in the morning were closed.

The City center is good but if you want to have fun shopping then go to Down town Redlands on state street. This place is historic and beautiful from the original Brick buildings to the small town feel you will love it! Take it from me i live here
