The Belching Beaver is one of my favorite of the 75+ microbreweries in San Diego County. And it continues to improve. The indoor space is simple and the vibe is just what you'd hope for. Laid back and super friendly. There's always a food truck or tent set up when I've been there and now they have a nice outdoor seating area with gas fire pits. My favorites are "Me So Honey" and "Nutty Buddy Brown". Both low on the IBU scale with a nice balance of complex flavors.Note that there are several other good microbreweries within a 1 mile radius. Iron Fist, Aztec and Indian Joe are all good.

Been going here since they opened. Huge fan of the IPA Hop Highway and the double IPA. In a city with an ever growing craft brew selection, put this one at the top of your list!

You'll know by now that San Diego's micro-brew scene is one of the best in the country...probably the world.Adding to that list, is Vista's Belching Beaver. One of my favorite local beers that pour, sell and offer tasting of some of the most creative beers. To mention a few: Peanut Butter Stout, The Me So'Honey, Beaver's Milk Stout, Rabid Beaver IPA, the seasonal Pumpkin Spice...and my new favorite, their 2nd. Aniv. Horchata Stout. You can't imagine the San Diego food and drink scene without some Mexican flavors. What I loved is that on top of being it's aniversary beer, they honor our "brothers across the border" and their brew-master that leaves in Tijuana starting it's shift @ 2:00 AM. Not only honoring a good beer, but acknowledging our Mexican brothers who represent the core of the service industry in this country.Go and grab a Beaver (a beer that is)!
