It's well lit, with clean, friendly, fast moving bartenders, so that kind of eliminates calling it a dive. There is a pool table and the patrons looked employed and for the most part they didn't look like they were recently paroled. I didn't even see any tattoos and doesn't everybody in the suburbs have a tattoo by now? Maybe this is a dive in the suburban soccer mom sense, but not really a dive in an urban sense. There weren't any motorcycles out front and contrary to true dive requirements of a man to woman ratio of 40 to 1, there was actually a fairly equal mix of men and women, a mix of couples and singles. The average age of patrons is probably 45. The drinks were really strong.

Maybe we got a bad bartender but when we stopped here on Sunday afternoon expecting some killer tropical cocktails after reading the reviews, we were sadly disappointed. We are only giving them 2 stars because of the decor, which is well done and the vibe was laid back. Its a great dive bar but not great drinks. If you are going for that cheap, Im in college and I'll drink anything kind of drink then this is your spot. If you want a fruity rum drink that actually taste good then this is not it. Again maybe we went on an off night or just maybe their drinks aren't that good.

dive bar!!! its dark and with fun décor, nice place to hang out with friends for a few drinks...for some reason trip advisor wants me to say more about a bar, its great try it!!

They serve drinks that light on fire in huge punch bowls, what else could you want? This bar is in the heart of downtown and while it's a bit run down and definitely a dive bar, it is fun for a laugh and a yummy drink.

This is one of those places that is a must see. Of course there are great Tiki drinks like the Funky Monkey but more than that owners Dave & Rebeccah have created an atmosphere that is always upbeat and fun, purposely funky and very welcoming. The decor is tiki chic, naturally, with an incredible curved bar that extends 2/3 the length of the place behind which a volcano lights up the wall. They have some pretty well-known bands that come through there as well so check the schedule. I've also never had bad service - the folks behind the bar are gracious and prompt. But, again, the patrons and the staff are always welcoming to the new folks and regulars. This is definitely one of those places you should put on your 'must visit' list but be forewarned, you'll absolutely have to go back.

located in downtown El Segundo (close to the LA airport) in a great 50's style downtown, this recent tiki bar is a amazing hawaiian bar with a great tiki deco!small stage for live music, great cocktail, great mug, great service,... great people!I will be back for sure!!
