I went there with my wife. We called ahead to make sure it was open. When we arrived and went thru a line for 20 minutes( no shade or water misters). When we got inside, it was limited to one half of one pool. I felt like I was crammed in one small area with a 1000 or more people. They had many life guards an the pool we swam in was roped off so you were not aloud to swim in it. It made no sense to us. We have not be back.

I have been lap swimming, water walking and doing deep water aerobics here for 6 years. When I first started I observed a number of conditions or situations that raised a bit of a concern for me. Those have all but vanished in recent years. I do observe inattentiveness from a life guard on occasion, I have never been when the pool is full of kids, so I cannot speak to pool personnel during these times. The counter staff is friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean; a BIG plus. Staff appears to well trained and the pool appears to be in compliance with all ADA and safety standards. The best part: heated showers. This not an issue when is it 108, but when its 58 its a really big deal.I do feel at times that the regulars (and I'm speaking of all who use the pool on an ongoing basis (never mind the exercise form) are the second class citizens when the pool is (and necessarily) truly multipurpose. They could do a bit better at accommodating users with physical ability differences. A surprising number of people with varying physical limitations use the pool. But that's just a lack of awareness, an easy fix.I an very grateful that this facility exits, thank you McMurtrey's and Bako.Confession: I am a retired recreation director.

We spent the entire day here and the kids had a blast! The best part is we didn't have to go far... wear lots of sunblock, not very many shaded areas.

This has to be a secret from most people in town. I say that because we were able to get in on one of the hottest days this summer! This place rocks! Our group had adults and children from age 4 to 12. There is a regular pool as well as a lap pool for the adults, both with handicap access. For the little ones an absolutely charming and whimsical spray pool with lots of interactive toys. As for the other kids (and braver adults) two large water slides, approximately 3 stories high! The line moves pretty fast and a lifeguard monitor is at the top and bottom. There is a snack bar, there are lockers available, and some picnic tables around the edges but not a lot of shade. What a great way to spend an afternoon in a town known for it's heat.Bring The Sunscreen! VERY reasonably priced and clean.

You just can't get any better. The perfect outdoor pool. Excellent. Beautiful. Huge. We do lap swimming here. Wow!!!!! Check the net for times and call ahead if you do not go here often as they close this place for events and things from time to time. Because they use bromide you can swim yourself silly without any chemical effects. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
