The zoo is pretty nice for a smaller zoo. Lots of animals and interesting. I just went to a zoo in California recently and it made me think of my visit to minots zoo this past summer. The thing I really didn't like about the zoo, was how poorly the cats looked. They were covered in flies and bugs so bad they looked miserable. As a huge animal lover it struck a nerve and made it that I didn't want to go back. I'm sure in the summer its hard to keep the bugs away but I have a hard time believing that there isn't more they could do. They were extremely thick on the cats. Also the Bears cage where there was water was smelly and stunk terribly. The water was a puke green color and looked all thick. I just wouldn't want to return and see animals in that poor state.

The penguins are the best part of this zoo by far! They seem so active and happy its fun to watch them slide around and hop into the pool!

The zoo has been under renovation a bit, mostly to accommodate the influx of higher income, I'm sure. It's being done beautifully. Lots of neat animals! They have amazing programs offered for the kids, the ZooBoo was NEAT and the Christmas at the Zoo was also pretty unique. Love this zoo.

We've have always enjoyed the Minot Zoo. We've been going there for almost 30 yrs. It's a nice clean well maintained zoo. It makes for a nice pleasant day.

We had the whole zoo to ourselves, practically. The lions sang. The primates were very active. We got to feed goats and sheep. We would have loved to see kids there, as I think they would have a great time.

The Minot Zoo is an average small zoo. The admission price is way too expensive for what you get. The zoo has a variety of animals of about the same in a zoo this size. There is really no guide way to find your way around the zoo. Employees did not seem very friendly. They were not too helpful. Construction was at the zoo and upon walking about 100 yards, you come up on a dead end and have to walk out the same way that you entered. Several animals looked like they needed water on the hot day that we were there. That was cruel. I really wonder how well the animals were being treated.

They have many animals, but as it being under construction it isn't the same. I can't wait for the penguins to come back! I am looking forward to it.

We didn't go into the zoo but we visited the park which had the large statue of Teddy Roosevelt on his horse. There was some contruction going on but not too bad.

This zoo has a nice collection of animals from around the world. The setting is pleasant, many trees spacious and very clean. Considering the cost of caring for animal especially exotic ones the price is very low. Great place for families.. It is adjacent to o a park with picnic tables and lots of trees. Beautiful. Take time to feed the giraffes. There is a baby one at present.

Good zoo, animals looked healthy and well cared for. Not all animals were available as it was raining, but the zoo can't control the weather. If you go, do so while it's sunny.

I thought this zoo was going to be a waste of time because it was so small. I have been to larger zoos my entire life and this measures right up there with the best. Selection of animals was very impressive, the price is fair and the staff was amazingly friendly. Can't wait to go back!

I was last here in the 80's I was 11. Much larger than I remember and obvious improvements since the flood of 2011. I came with my wife and 2 boys cost $24 and took about 1 1/2 hours a great activity to walk off some of the buffet lunch we had at the Hibachi Grill also recommended. Hi-lite was the bear going for a dip.

Spent a whole day at the zoo! They have so many different animals and there's lots of ground to cover. They don't have all the animals back yet since the flood but most are! Giraffes were definitely my favorite! Along with the jalapeno cheese-filled pretzels at their concession ;P

A lot of hard working people working with animals and birds giving people a very beautiful and interesting day to enjoy.
