Witnessed a beautiful sunset as well. Can be a little windy but the Pacific Madrone trees are stunning!

We were told about this place from Amber at the Apothecary Spa. And we are so glad she recommended us going here. The views were amazing! Definitely a favorite spot we will come back to

This was a short drive of about 5 minutes from town center. The view was lovely and panoramic. The ocean was spectacular today.

This is the perfect spot to watch the sun rising. There is the water, the island and Mount Baker. Colors change every moment, a magical place not to miss. But watch the deer when you get there.

There is a small look out area but the view is amazing! We went back to take more photos when we visited Anacortes in November (we were there in September). Try to catch the sunset...

When visiting Anacortes, I highly recommend this wonderful vista point overlooking the city and its surrounding beauty. Just drive east on 4th street and turn right at the "T". You will see the Old Town area with its 100 year old residences, the core of the city, the outlying Anacortes Forest Lands, as well as beautiful surrounding waterways. If possible, weather permitting, go up around sunset and watch the city and sky turn gold. Oh yes! It is FREE! Enjoy

You really drive up to the observation point, not that hard to walk. When you get there, you find a beautiful view of the harbor and some of the other islands on that side as well as Mt. Baker off in the distance. Worth going.

Small park, but usually not crowded. Great place to take pics of the marina and city. Also views to the east can be good if Mt. Baker is visible. Easy to get to....short drive from the downtown area.

A little hard to find, if you don't know...worth the search! Best overview of Anacortes. You can see out into the San Juans from one side, and an awesome view of Mt. Baker on the other!

Referred by hotel clerk to go watch sunset from here. Great place to take your wife. Really awesome views of entire area.

If you're visiting Anacortes, Cap Sante Park is a quick way to view the area. Drive through old town then up to the park.

Very short drive from downtown Anacortes. Awesome views of Anacortes and the San Juan Islands. We took a lunch one day just to hang out and watch all the boat traffic. Lucky for us, there was a sailboat race that day!

A rocky outcrop above town - beautiful views to the west, and also to the east (Mt Baker). Watch the ships enter the bay, see the lights come on in Anacortes after sunset. We loved it!

We drove up just to see. Nice little spot overlooking the marina and bay. Large rocks to sit on and just enjoy the view

The drive up the mountain was scenic and beautiful. A must do while in the area. The view looking out over Anacordes is extraordinary!
