You can go down to the water and shell oysters right on the beach and go clam digging too. Everything in the park is well maintained, the showers are clean, and everything works.

Beautiful view!! However the lady who works there is very mean and unfriendly. When we entered, the pay station was closed, so we just went straight to a fire ring and start bbqing. The lady drove by and yelled at us for not paying. We apologized and offered to pay immediately. However she refused our payment. This is such a confusing and frustrating experience! Please don't unload your anger to visitors!

Absolutely beautiful views, great paths and camp ground/picnic area! Lots too do and see. We had a blast and can't wait to go back!

The boys camped while the girls went to the hotel so everyone was happy. They said the service was great and the campsites were clean and quiet.... Everyone was happy.

I have stayed at Sequim Bay a number of times over the last 10 years. It is a well-maintained state park with spots for RV's and hookups as well as many tent sites. It sits on the water so you can access both the dock as well as the beach. There are multiple loops in Sequim Bay. I highly recommend staying on the lower loop (away from Hwy 101) where it is quiet and peaceful. Pictures of each site are available on the reservation site online which is very helpful. Because it is the Northwest, there is an abundance of trees and natural divides between sites. You do not feel like you are looking at your neighbors. One thing that is nice is that this state park is 10 minutes from Sequim. Anything you may have forgotten for camping/dinner etc., is easy to run into town to pick up. Beautiful spot to access the Olympic Peninsula and get away.

This was our third visit to the park. We camp with a tent, and find the lower campsites just great. They're the farthest away from highway noise. The whole campground is situated among towering evergreens, and each site is nicely placed and roomy. The bay is beautiful and a few of the campsites have a great view of it. For the rest of the campers, it's just a short walk away. We didn't find the beach to be much of a walking beach, like some others have said. Maybe we're always there at high tide. Our dogs loved the ball field on the other side of the highway (through an underpass), for playtime. Otherwise, they're on a leash, and everyone seems to observe that rule. The rangers are great, and everything is kept tidy and in working order. Some of the bathrooms have better shower facilities than others. Most have a latch on a changing and shower room, but one has only a curtain.Sequim has lots of great restaurants, and plenty of grocery stores. The campground isn't far from lavender farms, wineries, Hurricane Ridge, Dungeness Spit. There is a wonderful bike trail going right through the campground. We were there at the end of June, and the weather was great. I know we'll go back!

We popped in to this campsite without a reservation and happened to get the best site - #80. It is on the bay and very secluded. It was a beautiful campsite!Staff were extremely friendly. Herbs are planted by the check in building for campers to pick and use. We grabbed some mint and oregano for our fresh caught fish - it was a wonderful treat! The beach is covered in broken clam and oyster shells. It is a beautiful walk but I wouldn't take a dog. There is a dock and free kids' life jackets to borrow. My husband found live oysters on the shoreline at his feet. I think he shed a few tears of joy.The bad - the showers take tokens. Tokens can be purchased at the entrance/check in building only. If you run out of time while in the shower - you are screwed. I added 4 tokens for 12 minutes. The shower shut off in 6 minutes and there wasn't anything I could do about it. I had to wash out my hair in the sink and the soap... we'll it didn't get rinsed off. Very annoying.We would definitely stay again, but will bring extra tokens to the shower. NOTE - unused tokens cannot be turned in for a refund. I do not like that policy.

A little rough and pebbly but nice to take a long walk- view is nice too. If you have a dog, good place to make them run and chase the ball

Views from this park are amazing. In the middle of nature and yet close to modern conveniences. Stop and rest awhile, reflect on the greatness of creation.

lots of beach to walk. Close to Sequim. Can be a little dark. Easy access. Not sure it can take large rigs

We camped for two nights in September. The campgrounds are wonderfully maintained. Each site has a firepit, picnic table and tent pad. There is water available near each site for drinking, cooking, cleaning, etc., and there is bathrooms nearby with showers. The site we had (#66) was large and had a view of the bay. The only complaint I would make is the road noise. Unfortunately the campground is right off of US 101 so there is traffic 24/7. The first night was rough. The second night ear plugs helped a lot.

First off, a huge hats-off to the Washington State Parks and their incredible website. It is especially important to point this out because the Washington State Legislature has all but unfunded our state parks these past few years in the foolish belief that parks should pay for themselves instead of providing respite for our people. Boo! Parks are America's Best Idea and greatest policy export! Onward. The website http://www.parks.wa.gov/reservations/ allows users to search for parks based on criteria such as type of camping (tent, RV, yurt); party size; dates available; and so much more. The best part? MAPS that show the location of the camp sites. I used this feature to book a site on the bluff above the saltwater at Sequim Bay State Park. Sequim Bay SP has different "loops", with a large one close to the highway specifically for large RVs and those needing hookups. I would NOT recommend these on holiday weekends, since those RVs are packed in like sardines, especially on the Labor Day my companion and I visited. Then again, most of those RVers were pretty darn loud anyway, what with their generators, TVs, boom boxes and (I kid you not!) movie projectors beaming films on the side of the RVs. Not my taste, but that's why I use a tent.There are two loops for smaller RVs not needing hook-ups and tent campers. The upper loop sites are VERY large. The lower loop, closer to the water, have smaller sites but better views. There is also a group camping area, several picnic shelters and other recreation areas for non-campers.There are "real" restrooms with flush toilets and (woo hoo!) hot showers, and electrical outlets for those silly teenagers who insist on "glamping" with hair dryers and flat irons. The rest of us were using those outlets to recharge our phones. Note on the showers: you purchase 50 cent tokens for 3 minutes each from the ranger at the check-in station. The tokens make cool collectors items, BTW, since they are similar to state and national park quarters! There are water spigots every couple of camp sites, so this is definitely not roughing it and a good place for inexperienced campers.Like many state park and national forest campgrounds, there are volunteer "Park Hosts" who provide an amazing service, sell firewood ($5 for a large bundle), clean up and patrol the grounds. Talk about your Good Sams!Let's talk for a second about the park rangers, who are public employees. These were about the greatest park personnel I have EVER had the pleasure to work with -- extraordinarily friendly, courteous, full of information, and firmly polite in dealing with the fools making too much noise or running generators during quiet time (10 PM - 8 AM). Mind you, these park employees are very poorly paid and often at the whim of the legislative budget cycle, but you'd never know that. Their service was as good as one might find at a 5-Star Hotel. REALLY!Sequim Bay State Park has a boat launch (boat launch fee of about $7 for non-campers) with a dock, and another pier to moor boats at the other end of the park. The docks and piers are great places to ponder the stars, take a romantic walk, or to thrill your kids at the bioluminescence present in the water at night. A couple people were gathering shellfish and dropping fishing lines off the piers. No luck catching crabs for me though!A portion of the park is on the south side of the highway, with trails connecting via a safe underpass. Trails are throughout the parkThis state park is 2 miles past the Jamestown S'Klallam's 7 Cedars Casino complex, which has a really fabulous, well-stocked and competitively priced store to buy ice and provisions. The town of Sequim (population of around 9,000) is about 6 miles further west, and has a Costco, Wal-Mart, Safeway and QFC, among other mega box stores. Sequim Bay itself is like a beautiful fjord about seven miles deep. I brought my sea kayak and paddled the length of the bay, coming upon numerous harbor seals and their pups. This is a jewel of a park, and as long as you aren't expecting a wilderness area or a super-quiet outdoor experience, you will probably really like this place.

This state park is very nice - well maintained, with easy access to the water and local attractions. It was also very quiet, which we found to be unusual for the state parks we have visited. You can even gather oysters to cook on the grill and see huge starfish at low tide.

In the woods, so not hot, and right by the salt water. We don't camp and also live in Sequim so can't give it the most of my reviewing thoughts. I just thought that it was very pretty where it is set at. But the road getting down to beach area is a bit steep so maybe just camping above would be best and walking down. Still I thought that it was a beautiful State Park!

This campground was really quiet, and the most pleasant campground we stayed in on an extended trip to the western National Parks. It was well monitored by employees at all times and had strict rules about the number of vehicles and tents allowed in each campsite. The bathroom facilities were kept very clean and the showers were really nice. And, you cannot beat the view of Sequim Bay. Try to get a campsite close to the water! This was a very convenient place to enjoy visiting Olympic National Park.
