We attended a concert, and what a beautiful art deco theatre. My only complaint was many of the concert goers stood up most of the time the music played, while my husband and I chose not to "dance."....so sometimes our view was obstructed. However, the sound was very good, so we had no issues hearing the great music.
I'm giving this five stars, but I have to say, if you are going to a concert where you are hoping to "dance the night away", it's not going to be very comfortable. The seats are really cozy, but when you aren't using them they are so close together, it's almost impossible to move around. That being said, the restoration is so amazingly beautiful, it made me want to buy Symphony season tickets, so that's why I'm giving it five stars, because it was an amazing place to see a show, a huge piece of art. If you get a chance to see anything there, do it, just remember that if you are planning on dancing you better get front row seats, where there is a few feet of room.
They have restored the Fox Theater so nice. It is nothing like it use to be when we would go their and sneak into the movies. If you get a chance to see a concert there you should go. Very nice
Attending the symphony here is always a treat! The place is just awesome to look at since they renovated with full Art Deco style.
We attended the Spokane Symphony-Hitcock's Psycho even, which was absolutely top-notch. We were in the front seats on the loge level. The restored decor, the size of the stage, and the seating are all excellent.
1929 restored movie house now home to the Spokane Symphony. Excellent acoustics. When it opened Tony Bennett preformed. He had the amplification turned off and people sitting in the back row of the balcony could hear him with out any problem. Not to be missed.
Wonderful that we have such a great orchestra. If they're performing while you're visiting, try and get some tickets. Eat at the Davenport and parking is free. Theater was totally restored and is gorgeous.
Movie Music Spectacular was fantastic!! We had such a fun time. Music was great, conductor was hilarious, theater is gorgeous!! We would definitely go again!
Heard Spokane Symphony here -- an excellent ensemble. They offered Mahler Five, a stunning work, stunningly done. Acoustics are excellent. Interior is over-the-top art deco.
This is a national treasure! It's beautiful sounding, looking, is comfortable, and interesting in every way. I just love it! There isn't a bad seat in the house. Just get there early to admire the decor. Walk, drive, take a train, take a plane... get there and experience the Fox.
We came to this theater to listen to Beethoven's 9th symphony, right on the New Year's Eve and loved it. This theater was nicely decorated and many people were dressed up for the occasion, drinking champaign and feeling happy and excited - great atmosphere of a holiday season. I also like the interior of the performance hall and the seats are comfortable, which is no small matter. The volunteers were also very friendly and helpful - generally, a great place to come to see a performance of any kind.
Amazing to think that this spectacular theatre was once to be leveled for a parting lot! Well worthasElia.tripto enjoy its visual splendours which extend from wonderful murals to fine fanciful period decor everywhere -- ceilings included! We have visited many times (usually to hear the Spokane Symphony) and ever cease to be impressed.
Loved the restored Deco decor. Will-call tickets were waiting for us as promised. Had very little trouble finding parking nearby.
very nice restoration of a 1930s venue. Wonderful spot for orchestra concerts. Beautiful murals and fixtures.
This historic theater has been renovated to class standards. A wonderful place to attend a concert of any other activity.
