discovery island waterpark

We have been at least once a summer for the last few years. The only advantage of the park that I find are the dual Waveriders. The lazy river is not very long and there are just a few water slides. Its a nice step above from a standard neighborhood pool but not anywhere close to a Wet and Wild.

My first visit here with my 10 year old and her friend. The park staff was very observant of safety issues and there was an adequate number of lifeguards. Water slides were not overly crowded (we came on a Wednesday). Had lunch in the cafe/grill; the grilled chicken wrap was much better than expected and there were many healthy choices. Kids had fried chicken strips of course! Park seemed clean and well maintained. Downside was limited pool side chairs.

The water was murky and a lot of bugs floating around it was pack.. Saw a man spit in the pool as he walk by

I can't believe this place has not been shut down. I spent less than an hour there! It was a weekday which is typically much less busy for such parks so I would HATE to see how disgusting it would be when they were really busy! I was concerned about the water quality in the pool as it just didn't look good...and you could tell that the place was not being properly maintained but after going to the restrooms I quickly packed up my child and left the park out of genuine concern for our health! I guess I now understand why there is bold statements on their policy board that says absolutely no refunds!! Most sensible people would want their money back I am sure! I felt completely ripped off and sick at my stomach at the idea of what I may have possibly exposed my son to in their pool water!!

The discovery water park located in Simpsonville is just what the area needed. A lazy river, slides, and my favorite the Flowrider so that you can boogie to your hearts content. Come and enjoy the water.

we were with our other family with 5 kids and kids had the best time at the water park. we spent all day since we dident had to do any thing saturday. 2 big water slides , nice people and well clean kept restrooms.food was great at too.i do recomand this park with family.

We took our grandson (10) to spend the day at Discovery Island and had a ball. The admission was only $12 for adults!

This is an inexpensive way to have a day of fun in the sun and water for the family. Food is pricey but that's every water park.

Attended on a 1/2 off back to school special as our first visit.We had a great time! Plenty to do for all ages. Kids loved the flow rider.

I gave this place 3 stars because yes it was fun especially for the kids but the amount of non sense that goes on without being addressed is ridiculous. Our three yr old daughter went down a kid slide and some bigger kid didnt wait for her to get off n knocked her completely down and the life guards saw it and shrugged there shoulders like what should we do about it. Then on the lazy raft there were children unattended by there parents and just bumping and pushing people everywhere and again the guards didnt do anything about it yet they saw all of it going on. My two boys wanted to try the wave runner and standing in line for a while children again not accompanied by there parents kept cutting in line with again guards just shrugging shoulders not stopping them. If they made it mandatory for parents to watch their children here it would be a better place.
