We travel from Virginia to Lights Out. Would have been better if our group of 4 was allowed to be a single group, but was paired with another because they said it would caused a backup....wasn't crowded at all. It's a nice amusement but also not worth paying the "NO Wait" prices....there's only one line that you might have to wait in. Would be better if it was totally dark...too light for the little gatorade lights they give you.
We have enjoyed making a tradition of going through the corn maze for the last 4 years. We were very disappointed in the new game that is being used with the scratch off cards. It was very confusing and every time we found a scratch off station the lines were so long. It was difficult to know which station we were at since they did not have numbers. We ended up not even finishing the game because of frustration.
Great for kids! Corn maze was fun, pumpkin patch, tractor ride. I was disappointed that you had to pay extra for the kids activities though. Make sure to wear walking shoes and bring drinks. After the maze I was so thirsty but their vending machines were sold out. They do sell drinks and snacks but I didn't want to wait in line. Our family had fun!
I purchased a groupon for the corn maze and also the spooky woods (Great value). I also purchased tickets for the laser tag. We had an amazing time. We were there all day and didn't have a second of being bored. The maze was very hard lol, but intriguing. We made it to the exit .... After about an hour lol. The laser tag was so much fun. It was "Call of Duty" themed. Two hours worth seems like a lot but we played different types of games which kept us occupied. The spooky woods was very fun. I would have to say the spooky woods was the best experience I've had in regards to haunted houses or haunted trails.
I took a group of first graders to the corn maize, jumping pillow, and pumpkin patch. They had a great time. The mystery in the corn maize kept their attention by allowing them to punch the card at each find. We also loved the option of having a smaller, shorter version of the corn maize if we chose. It was a great trip that we will do again.
Our family enjoyed the Corn Maze this year. It was a great local trip to take with gas prices the way they are. Our kids enjoyed the Cow Train and digging in Dinosaur Discovery. Our kids were able to take a break and grab some fresh Kettle Corn and Lemonade to recharge for more activities. We look forward to next year!!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Pricing options are varied depending on what you want to do and your budget. We feel we offer a great value for what you get.The parking is designed to have you enter from the back of the farm, this is mandated by the highway patrol as we have over 6,000 people attend in a day. The prevents the main road from having grid lock once the crowds build up. I do apologize for the run around, but once you have been here you know the procedure for your next visit. The zip line tours are priced right in line with the national standard. Beware of zip lines that are very inexpensive. The cost to build what we have and at the level of safety is very expensive. You get what you pay for.We only use the highest quality food and it is priced in line with any attraction, if not lower. We have sliced apples as a healthy snack option. We appreciate your comments and hope to see you here again soon.
Heather,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I would like to review your concerns, first parking is $5.00 per car $20.00 per bus. If you own a bus than that was the price you should have been charged. Pricing for the "Best Value Combo" includes everything we have to offer, access to the corn maze, gem bag, cow train unlimited, a pumpkin, and unlimited access to the twin jumping pillows. To do all these activities would take you well over an hour if you rushed it. The Dinosaur Discover is FREE, The Tram Ride around the farm is FREE. Use of our picnic area with grill is FREE. If you opted to purchase just the General Admission which includes the corn maze and jumping pillows, then you have to pay as you go for the other activities. Our Gem Bucket is $20 for a family of 4 size and these have lots of Gems included, if you had a concern you should have brought this to our attention and we gladly would have giving you another Bucket. Your comment about the food service is unfair as we only serve the highest quality products and the pricing is far less than Carowinds. We are an attraction and you can expect to pay a little more for the food, but we keep the prices very fair for the quality we serve. In review, let me be clear so you are informed correctly. To be a guest on the grounds, FREE. This gives you access to the picnic area where you can bring your own food and use our grill. We have discounts with local pizza vendors that will even deliver to you here. Access to the Dinosaur Discovery is FREE. Access to ride the Tram Tram around the farm is also FREE. We take our customers opinion very serious and appreciate your time to write a review. We hope to see you here again, but next time please seek out a staff member with any complaints and we will accommodate you in any way we can I guarantee it.
Thank you for coming out to see us, hopefully on your return visit the weather will be sunny!
