For the price this is a great course. Wish they had better drainage there. The course just seemed to be wet all day. Otherwise it is amongst the best values in OBX for golf.

After a great round of golf a stop was in order at the club house, and at that were we not disappointed at all. The Crab Dip was OUTSTANDING, in not only the amount of crab, but with the great taste associated with the dip. The various choices of crackers served only enhanced the dip. The others in our party enjoyed the pull pork Carolina BBQ, served with homemake chips was excellent. The golf course itself is in great shape and was forgiving to golfer because of being so well laid out. So you can't go wrong for the golf, and to followed up by a great club house and outstanding food.

The course was in great condition (played 6/24/14 and 6/26/14), fairly wide open and forgiving which is nice for a 15+ handicapper, best price for high quality in the area (payed $79 one day and $69 the next off Golf Now). We drove by several courses coming from Corolla but most were $100+ and The Carolina Club was well worth the drive. Awesome staff and very, very nice snack bar/restaurant (reminded me of a nice sports bar). Must play!

The best golf course in the area! The staff couldn't be nicer and the course couldn't be in better shape!!

I have played The Carolina Club and The Pointe on multiple occasions. The courses are always in great condition(as would be expected of a course owned by a turf company). the course is laid out well, and can be forgiving to those of us who are duffers. It has some very challenging holes as well. The price is high for the area, but not for the experience.

The third stop for my senior group in out Fall OBX golf outing. The course is beautiful, the fairways like a carpet. The greens are very fast and undulating making for a lot of 2 and some 3 putts. There is some water in play on several holes but no significant carries.

Our family 4 some golfed here in mid August. We had early morning tee times which worked well with the heat of the day. We were greeted by one of the attendants who drove a 2 carts to our car and loaded our clubs. He explained how the course was playing, where to check in and where the first tee and driving range/ putting greens were. We actually paid $10 less than the advertised price on the web sign up for tee times which was very convenient. The course is in fantastic condition. It is challenging enough to keep you engaged in each shot but is not terribly frustrating like many beach courses can be with bunker and water placement. There are several signature holes on this course that are stunning including an island hole. The greens live up to their claim to be the best in the OBX. they were true and well goomed and cut perfectly. The club house grill staff was great after our round and was the perfect place to have a celebretory drink following the round. This is well worth the drive from the beach.

We played this course for the first time on a cloudy & cool August day with a little rain on the front nine. Course was in excellent shape and very friendly for high handicap golfers "playing it forward" from the gold tees. We had such an enjoyable time that we returned three days later despite the 45 minute drive from Nags Head. We wish Connecticut courses had fairways and greens like The Carolina Club.

This is a golf course in excellent condition. We recommend it highly and would do always come back to play here.

Couldnt agree more with the below review. I vacation in the OBX every summer and golf 3 of the 7 days I'm there and have played pretty much every course on the OBX.Without a doubt you will not find more rude, obnoxious , and downright miserable Marshalls on a golf course. We were rushed (even though we played well ahead of pace) and were threatened by these pricks. We ended up leaving at the turn , demanding a 50% refund. I will never patronize either the pointe or Carolina again while in the OBX.Not sure what they're deal is.Another neat trick they will do is coerce you into moving up a set of tees to push you through Faster.I am no hack, and have played much tougher courses in normal time or less. We played in mid July in the thick of the tourist season, but it was no excuse for being treated like trash.Never again

On hole 8 we were approached by course ranger, who was visibly angry at us for going to slow, even though we were 15 minutes ahead of our time. We argued. I offered to let the people behind us play through, but the old ranger stubbornly refused. Then we offered to leave the course for a 50% refund. He threatened to kick us off with no refund. We ended up playing the back 9 angry, rushed, and frustrated. This offensive man ruined an otherwise nice course. I'm going somewhere else next time.

I come to the Outer Banks a couple of times a year for a family vacation in the summer and for a golf trip in April. I play Carolina Club every trip. This is a great course - reasonably priced and always in great shape. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They are in the process of some renovations inside the clubhouse - what used to be their beverage/snack service area is being renovated into a full service bar. They are doing a great job of doing it quietly because we didn't even know it was going on until the turn when we stopped to grab a bite. I highly recommend playing here!

The course in great shape. The fairways are like carpet and the greens are like glass. It is all green and in perfect condition.
