Tiger’s Eye Golf Links, one of the crown jewels at Ocean Ridge Plantation...

This is one of the most scenic courses in the area with great play for a range of players. The forward tees are very friendly for the higher handicappers yet challenging enough to keep it fun. This is more mature than Leopard's Chase and therefore has more foliage and shade in the summer. The fairways are scenic, not lined with homes, although the homes that are in view are lovely and far enough away. The clubhouse is great as is the service. Having a meal or snack on the veranda watching the players finish their rounds after 18 on Tiger's Eye is a wonderful finish. Range balls are generally included in the green fees... everyone is very friendly and the course is almost always in great shape.

Unfortunately, the day we played it was cart paths only, due to very recent heavy rain. The fairways were wet and muddy in spots, and the grass had bare spots, as if from a fungus. We were started on #10; none of the tee box markers were set up on the front 9. There are plenty of challenges with marshes and water either to carry or lay up to. We saw lots of wildlife - fox squirrels, cranes, ibises and herons. Watch out for fire ant mounds - my husband stepped on one and suffered some nasty bites. There are no hole diagrams on the card, which I always find annoying. Our cart was missing its pencil - minor quibble but shows a little lack of care.

Tiger's Eye is one of my favorites in the whole Myrtle Beach area. This course is a good looking playable course with an unusual amount of elevation changes, and is usually in really good shape. A lot of people think this course is the best of the Big Cats, better looking and more playable than Tim Cate's higer rated Leopard's Chase, which is also in this development.

This is part of a very nice resort putting the emphasis on golf.Very friendly greeting. Most of the people were retired people from northern states ex Ney-York state. They all like their work and most of all know what we expect as visitors and golfers.

This is my favorite course at OR. Mostly has fair and some challenging holes It is usually in good shape and has some very interesting holes and not a lot of water. You will look back and remember some of the good holes.s

Great staff keep the pace of play flowing. Grounds crew keeps the course in top shape and hacks like me & my buddies come here to feel like pros! You'll play better on this manicured course and really enjoy the scenery! Try it!

not the best course of the Big Cat courses. Was not in the best shape but prob a result of all the rain. Slow play the day I played.

Played this spring during the annual Myrtle beach golf outing. This is a great track and very challenging. Water on all but a few holes. The greens (Bent grass) were in decent shape for it being so early in the season and they weren't terribly speedy. There's a fair amount of sand so come prepared. I would like to play this course again later in the season because I'm not sure we saw it at its best.

It was years ago and only once that I played Tiger's Eye, but I know I loved it and want to reprise the experience. Nice variety with some very imaginative holes.

Let me point out that I have never before written a negative review. This a very nice course that was in good condition when we played in mid-November. The gentleman who took our clubs and the lady driving the snack cart were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff that we had to deal with were so rude and miserable that they ruined what should have been a great day of golf. First, the front desk lost our tee time and basically told us we would have to reschedule for another day. When we showed them the voucher from our golf package, they finally found that they entered it incorrectly in their computer and had given our tee time away to another group. They told us we could play only if we went out immediately. We had arrived about 45 minutes early to hit a few balls on the range and to go to the practice green, but being on vacation this was our only chance to play the course. So, we went directly to the starter who made it clear that he was very annoyed at this change, though it was in no way our fault. Although we have always played quickly and have never been asked to hurry on any other course, the ranger told us three times during the round to hurry up. The third time was coming off the 16th green. We pointed out that we were not holding anybody up, because the group behind us had not even reached the tee on 16, and the group ahead of us was still on the 17th tee. We had played Leopard's Chase the day before, and the entire staff went out of their way to be friendly and polite. If your playing the Big Cats, I strongly recommend Leopard's Chase, but avoid Tiger's Eye. Its just not worth the aggravation.

Not much to this course. Pretty basic layout without a lot of challenging holes. Probably won't play again.

This is my favorite course at Ocean's Ridge. Always seem to shoot below my average on this layout. Birdies are there for the making.

Tiger's Eye is a fun and challenging course to play. As usual, plenty of water and sand, but a very playable course. It was in good condition in July and seems to be well taken care of. They had a special and we played for $39 which was a bargain.
