I've had the pleasure of visiting the GSC several times over the past few years and each time, I'm amazed at how well run the facility is. The new SciQuarium is a must see and I cannot wait for the next phase to be completed. Im amazed at how they are able to include so many different activities and exhbiits in what looks like a small space..from the dinosaur exhibit to the SciQuarium to Animal Discovery to the Omnisphere and the new SkyWild that will be opening soon. I encourage folks to stop by and visit (its not expensive for a ticket either), especially if you have children. Its a huge plus to have something like this in Greensboro

Our two boys are five and almost two, and we recently visited the Science Center. The price was reasonable considering the zoo, aquarium, and other exhibits are all included. The boys liked the dinosaurs, weather exhibit, aquarium, touching the snakes, seeing the two headed turtle, and playing in the play area. Our disappointments were that almost all of the interactive Health exhibit were broken, virtually no animals were out due to weather, and construction was happening in one of the exhibits, so it was completely closed down. Our trip was enjoyable overall, but we wished we could've experienced everything. I would suggest taking older kids as there is a wealth of great information in all the exhibits that our kids weren't ready to really participate with. We will return again with warmer weather and when construction is complete.

Loved the manageable size of the place. I don't normally like aquariums, but this one is very well done and friendly -- not at all claustrophobic. So many activities for young and old, so many opportunities to learn about science and the natural world. When the "Sky Wild" exchibit opens, it will be spectacular. It's already a great place.

I love the Science Centre. As well as being an educational day out it's also a lot of fun. We have annual passes so visit often.Aquarium is fun. Penguins, Fish, Sharks, Stingrays, Anaconda. They have an interactive pool so kids can get 'up close' with the stingrays and other aquatic life.Indoor children's play area is designed for older children.Petting Zoo is great. We love to wander around the animals outside. The two tigers are our favorite. Monkeys, Lemurs, Red Pandas, Meerkets & Tortoises can also be found. They have recently constructed an Arial Assault Course - I expect this to be open to visitors during the Summer but it looks great fun!!Downstairs you can find the amphibians - Frogs, Snakes, Spiders etc. The two headed turtle is something to look at.100% recommended.

I hadn't been to the Science Center since my kids were young (at least 10 years). My wife and I and now-grown son were looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon and knew they had made several improvements to this center so we decided to give it a go. Wow! They have really done a great job with the Aquarium and the improvements they are making to the outdoor animal exhibits are really bringing this place to a whole new level! I don't think anyone, with or without young kids, would be disappointed in a visit here.

I have visited the Science Center many times over many years and it is always a pleasure. They are always evolving, adding something new and exciting. Great place to take the kids/grandkids and enjoy some family time.

Great place to learn and enjoy. Constantly expanding so each time you go, there is something new to enjoy.

I took my kids to the Greensboro Science Center because it was a 3-in-1, a zoo, aquarium and museum and it was local and I needed something to do with them and since we hadn't been before we decided to go. The price was reasonable and if you are a Guildford county resident, you received a discount off the ticket price. The Science Center looks big on the outside but is small on the inside but nice from what I saw. I guess coming from NYC where everything is triple the size, it would seem small to me. We went to the museum first because my son loves dinosaurs and wanted to see them so we followed him and headed there. When we got into the dinosaur exhibit, we were disappointed because they only had a few exhibits and they didn't look authentic as the ones that you would see like in the Museum of Natural History or the Smithsonian Museum and you could spin around twice in there and you were done with that exhibit. Next we checked out the, "Sciquarium" as they call it, and it was just a small like all the other exhibits but not super small. Thereafter, we walked down to the bottom floor to check out the other exhibits which were like science labs but they had reptiles and other various animals and spiders. The zoo was our next and final stop and that was ok, like everything else, it wasn't a large zoo but they did have a few animals and birds that we could look at. It was hot that day and we didn't stay outside to long. They had an area where you could feed and pet the goats but I find that, that is a very common thing here at most places we go to. I think we saw everything at the science center in under 2 hours to get through all the exhibits as well as the zoo but it's a nice place to take your kids for a day out when you want something to do and you don't feel like traveling far.

We have season passes for my wife and me and for our four grandchildren. Every time they come to Greensboro, the Science Center is a must. They love the aquarium and the zoo. What a great way to spend time with the kids.

My daughters and grandchildren would live here if allowed, and we're all Greensboro residents. Can't say enough good things about it. I love it as an adult, too.

Great place for all the family to go too. Something for every age group. Staff have excellent knowledge of the animals there.

Greensboro Science Center is a great place to spend the day. The opening of the new aquariumadds alot to activities. Kids will love the stingray touch tank and enjoy watching the penguins and sharks. Lots of hands on activities that actually teach the kids. Outside exhibits are just as good. The tiger habitat along with the other exhibits are top notch.

The natural science center has been a staple in Greensboro for decades & it continues to be a "go to" place for families and couples to explore everything from dinosaur exhibits, to rocks and minerals, to animals and exhibits about the human body. And even music. We went this time for a Metallica light show. How diverse is that? They continue to update the facility, parking and exhibits to keep it current. Four thumbs up!

Years ago I went here and it was tired with not much to see! WOW!!! Almost a zoo - it had great animals and very adequate cages, very large and natural surroundings for tigers and wolves! Also, really neat to see the nice artificial reef and fish - and it was enjoyable for the kids to see and hear the descriptions by the young gal who was working give a description, point out the different fish - even my fave the Green Moray Eel behind the very tall glass wall of the Aquarium. Gets adults and kids interested in science!! I DO HATE the petting a crab, or stingray or turtle areas... it is harmful to the animals and can't be fun for them. Ah well, I guess a few have to be sacrificed to foment the interest of the humans who will one day work to save their species!!!

The old Science Center continues to remodel and expand its offerings (the aquarium for example) --- it's just a great place for young and old. We particularly love the summer musical laser shows in the planetarium. We've caught such shows as the Beatles and Led Zepplin. Very, very cool.
