Went allot, many years ago when it first opened and now won't go back. The grounds are not up kept and it is just way too crowded for the amount of space they have. Not worth the aggravation. On another note, the ice rink they do in the winter is nice.
Deep river is a great family place .This year i bought Myself and the grand kids season tickets .You can;t beat the price for all day fun.It would be even better if they would put a little money into the wave pool and bought the small kids some new life jackets. We can;t wait till they open for the 2015 season !!!!
I've been going here ever since I was a child. Brought my "lil sis" from BBBS. This place is still a blast. Prices are a little high, but there are lots of discount tickets out there and discount days. So many slides! One of the biggest parks I've seen. Must do activity for kids and adults alike!
This park is almost daily filled to capacity in the summer. Slides, wave pool, kiddie areas...everything you would expect at a water park. County owned and maintained, it is always clean even with the huge crowds. The drawbacks? Long lines to ride the slides. In the winter, they freeze an area for ice skating and the kids simply love it. Especially the hot chocolate after a few minutes of falling all over the ice. They offer equipment to help novice skaters stand and skate without falling, but what fun is skating if you don't bust your buns once in awhile?
OMG, total good time, so many great water rides. Two lazy rivers. Loved all of the shoots. Why do thy make yo take off your sunglasses?????????????
ideal for a family outing, affordable and nice. The restaurants had run out of almost everything...that was a pain. I do not know if that was a one time thing or happens often...still, we had a good time
Went to the water park for a private event in the evening recently. We, and about 150 other people, had the place to ourselves for a few hours. No lines. Water slides in the dark are way better than during the day! Talk about cardio workout....when there's no lines, there is nothing but your athletic ability stopping you from running right back up and going down a slide again....or 20 more times. We love it there.
I found this place to be nice. The price is fair for the attractions and if you are an Indiana resident you receive an additional two dollar discount. The place is not huge like water parks in Florida but they have all the normal rides. Four or five tube rides and several body rides make up the most of the park. There are several areas for younger kids and two lazy rivers. The waves in the wave pool are on the small size but still fun. Everything was clean and no trash around on the ground. I would and will come here again.
Was surprised that there was not a bigger crowd. Easy to get to with lots of parking and a beautiful day in the high 70's. Water slides were fun. The lazy river was very nice and very lazy. Slow. Very clean with lots of chairs and room. Looks like a great place for a party or family reunion. Got a good deal of $18.95 online. Was disappointed with the wave pool. Not very good waves but would be fun for young kids. Too babyish for teens. Worth the drive and worth the money.
This was a pretty fun water park with a wide variety of slides, a couple lazy rivers, wave pool, and kiddie area. The lines moved pretty quickly on all the slides, and tubes were included in the cost of admission (no separate fees). The concessions were affordable priced for the amount of food they served, and there's also an option to bring a cooler with your own food. We will certainly return!
We went on a large church group trip (over 60 people) to Deep River Water Park in July 2014. We had an array of adults, teens, and younger children who attended. We were accommodated with a large secluded pavilion area, which was very convenient for placing all of our stuff. The first thing we noticed was how clean and neat the park was. Even the restrooms were orderly and clean - which is unusual for a water park. This was a nice feature considering how many children we had to keep in line. The variety of attractions was a plus also. They had places for younger children, and slides for the enthusiasts. One negative. There was a large straight down slide - I think it was called "the dragon" - that looked like a blast. When I went down it, the slide literally scrapped my entire back and felt like bee stings. My back swelled up and hurt for like 20 minutes. Wondering if it was just me, I waited around and watched others go down it. Every time, the first thing people said when they got to the bottom was a complaint about their backs. Little children grabbed their backs in pain and whined. This needs to be fixed before it causes some real damage or worse (lawsuit). We purchased some nachos for a snack and were really pleased by their fair prices and the amount of food they gave us for it. Usually, parks have overly high prices and give tiny amounts of food so it was nice to see this park did not do that!Overall - We had an absolute blast at the park and really enjoyed it! Definitely recommend it to others!!
Visiting from Green Bay we were pleased with the free parking and ability to bring your own food into the park. We visited on July 4th and there was quite the large crowd but not overwhelming. There were a few rude people and the wave pool allowed pool side chairs to block most of the zero depth entry portion of the pool.Bathroom facilities could use some TLC and I did not appreciate an employee using his iPhone inside the changing area.I was a bit surprised by the armed deputy sheriff that was walking the park, perhaps some security issues that I did not see?
Deep River is clean and fun for all ages. We have a 4, 5, 11 and 13 year old and all had a great time. Clean place and if you go in a large group the rates are really good. One thing we were disappointed over...they would not let grandparents who were just there to watch and take pictures would have to pay full ticket to go in. Wish they had a special non-swim price.
Deep River is a great waterpark. Everyone had fun there and their is a good variety of rides. The waterpark is also very big.
We arrived at the park after 2:00 pm, which at that time it has a reduced rate. My daughter and two grandchildren came with me. I also met my sister and some of her family. This year they have more lawn chairs. Water was clean, you can bring a cooler, which is nice, even though the snack bar isn't to bad. It's huge and the grandchildren had a great time my youngest 20 months cried when we had to leave at closing. We, then sat underneath a tree outside and had our picnic.
