We visited Cedar Creek winery and enjoyed most of their wines. We are dry wine drinkers and most of their wines were a little on the sweet side. The grounds were very warm and inviting. There was plenty of comfortable seating inside to relax and enjoy a tasting. They had several cute wine related items for sale. Unfortunately their computer system was on the blink and they couldn't make any sales. We would definitely visit again.
Cedar Creek Winery is in a lovely rural location just off IN 252. Their wines are quite good; we usually drink Chardonnay. In warmer weather Cedar Creek often has live music on weekends. The winery is a pleasant, fun place to take out-of-town guests. We have known about the Oliver Winery for many years. Cedar Creek Winery follows in that same great tradition.
They have lots of good wines at Cedar Creek. It's a very pretty location. Great place to take your friends and family for a relaxing time and bottle of wine. They do charge for their tastings . Our favorites are the Mystic (Moscato) , Razz n Tazz (Shiraz), and the Peach Paradise (Chardonnay) . We are sweet wine to semi sweet wine drinkers. They are also reasonably priced on their wines.
Actually went to the tasting room in Nashville. Staff was great, the owners were there which made it a personal experience. Was pleasantly surprised by the reds including the Merlot and Shiraz, both had a slightly lighter flare than their California cousins making them perfect for summer with a slight chill. Don't miss trying the chocolate port, very unique! Brought home quite a few bottles to enjoy. Cheers!!
I had no clue this place existed then I visited their Brown County shop and fell in love. Great staff, great wine. If you are planning a trip to Oliver's than make a stop here, or make a stop without Oliver's too. I have found my new favorite Indiana winery.
I usually drink sweet white wines like moscato so I was fully prepared to not like most of their wines. Was I wrong!! I liked most of their wines but I really loved their red wines. Great place to enjoy. My new fun place to relax!
First off, let me say that I just do wine tasting for fun. I am not well versed on wine tasting and my comments about the wine a little more than "it's good". However, I will review this winery apart from the wine they serve. The first thing I noticed was that this winery was way off the beaten path. It's among the seven listed for the Indy Wine Trail but it's at least 30-45 minutes away from Indianapolis! Due to it's location, if you're doing the Wine Trail I recommend that it's one of the earlier ones. Once we got there everything was very nice. The staff was friendly and even recommended the next winery to visit and how to beg there. As a matter of fact, their location is the only reason I would decrease the rating given to them.
