The trip, by far, was well worth the hour drive. Although there were a lot of people, it was not nearly as crowded us the local water park in Manhattan nor the Kansas City waterparks. Also, the entrance fee was relatively cheap compared to the other waterparks. They have infant/toddlers pools, a lazy river, about 5-6 slides, a wave pool, and an olympic style pool for lap swimming and high diving. The only downside I saw was there was not enough lounge chairs to accommodate everyone. We ended up picnicing on the grass. They had food for sale. Nothing to go crazy over but enough to quench your thirst and appetite.
Just a great inexpensive place to take your family on hot summer days! We drove about a 1.5 hour to get there but well worth it! Kids loved, the lazy river!
We recently visited this park and I have to say it rivals one of the bigger parks I have visited in Colorado. Its a city run park so you have fewer crowds. That being said, plan to get there early or after 3pm. The park fills up quickly and so does the seating. There are shaded areas, as well as areas out in the sun and lawn area. They have four slides, two of which are enclosed, another slide that is round and swirls, a kiddie area, large pool area with lap pool and two diving boards. The lazy river is one of the best I have seen, you do not need a tube to go through it and it has multiple entrances and exits. It also passes through some of the attractions such as the wave pool. You are not permitted to bring any outside food into the park but they do have a concession stand run by Quizno's. The prices are fair and comparable to other parks. You are permitted to bring in ONE water bottle per person.Admission is more than reasonable but also suits the size of the park. For three adults and and one child we paid less than $20.00.Well worth the admission fee. I recommend this park to families of all ages.
I went there with a total of 5 kids and 3 adults of varying ages. Every one of us had a blast. Prices are extremely reasonable for a water park with so much to do. They had slides my 3 year old could go on, but also slides my 7 year old was just big enough for. Definitely worth the money.
My toddler absolutely loved the family water slide and play area! Can't say too much about the rest of the park because we were here and rode that slide all day long.I appreciate the signs in the bathroom that encourage patrons to inform staff if restrooms need an extra clean out appear messy anytime through out the day. The family restroom and shower worked very well for all of us.
We drove over an hour to attend a special party at Kenwood Cove. There wasn't a single parking spot to park in. The line to get into the water park was 4 deep and stretched into the parking lot. Driving by we could see that there was not a lounge to be had nor was there a spot on the grass to put our towels. The lines for the slides stretched forever. We tried for about 15 minutes to find a parking space but couldn't so we left. Kids were very disappointed.
We took our almost 2 year old son to this water park and he had a total blast!!!! HIGHLY recommended for little ones. They have their own separate play area with slides, rides, water spouts and tons of space to roam. Lifeguards are everywhere (mostly to keep the teenagers from being rowdy lol) but it's nice to have so many of them. It's a VERY clean area and a joy to visit. If your kids love the water, this is the place to be! At only $5.50/adult (not sure of kids prices since my son was free) it's a total bargain. We drive an hour just to come here for a few hours and enjoy the day. Also wanted to note the family restroom was very large, equipped with a shower and overall very clean!
Great time at a great place. Kids area is very large with a lazy river tube ride. Four good sized slides, two have to use tubes on. Very clean. Several helpful life guards. Go here for a great afternoon.
Great family getaway! Good price for all the fun you get to experience. For a water park to be this nice in the middle of Kansas its a must see.
My family loves going here and it has become an annual trip for us. Always a good time. So much cheaper than the water parks in Kansas City, and it has enough to hold the interest of two teenagers for an afternoon. Slides are a blast and the lazy river and wave pool are a lot of fun.
Lots to do an very inexpensive ! My three kids can't get enough of this place. Staff are very friendly, and smiles were esverywhere!
Nothing to dislike--it has use of free lounge chairs and some areas are covered. Lots of slides and novel things to play with and in for kids of all ages- wave pool, lazy river. They had lots of single and double inner tubes for guests to use. Even though it was crowded...they seemed to have plenty. Lots of lifeguards on duty in case anyone gets a little rowdy. Great area for tots, big slides for older kids and adults that wind around and drop into various structures and pools at the bottom. Big wave pool that everyone can play in. They have food from Quiznos (I understand) that we didn't stay to try. Lots of small lockers in cubicles outside that you can use if you supply your own lock. I understand they have movie nights where you can sit in the wave pool and they project a movie onto the back wall area. It was fun---very inexpensive ($6.00 or so for us 2)- and nicely kept up and clean. Definitely will keep the kids occupied for as long as you let them stay!
Great place to spend the afternoon. We broke up a trip across Kansas by stopping at the water park for a few hours before getting back in the car. GREAT place, excellent value ($3 per kid and $6 for adults). Only drawback was no locker room to change clothes and a little short on rafts for the lazy river and slides. Highly recommend!
This is a fun water park for all ages! The lazy river is so relaxing. The pool has waves and I'm amazed how the lazy river goes right threw the waves and yet you just keep on going. I love it!It has 4 waterslides. 2 of them use tubes. There is an big area for little children, also Lillie pads, a big wide slide for younger ones. there are lots of lounge chairs all around the park. I enjoy sitting in different areas just watching everyone have fun! Showers are nice although there was no hot water. I've also heard there are benches in the men's shower rooms, but there are none in the women's. That would really be nice if they would add some. It's well worth driving some miles to come here!
The water park was fun and my kids and I enjoyed the park. We liked the wave pool and the water slides.
