Finally had the pleasure to experience this location, we had the nachos, which are two meals in one, so you may want to share and the 'hand' beer battered cauliflower (excellent). The bartender was very friendly. We visited on Dec 31st, 2014
It was relaxing, had a quaint atmosphere and we liked the good food. The servers were friendly and local people were nice as well.
This place is a blast from the past. 6 lanes, manual score keeping, lots of fun. A lot of local people were there when we visited - very friendly and the staff was great.
On the advise of a local I had the Captians Burger, you won't be disappointed. Thick, juicy, great sauce and fantastic onion rings stacked on top.
The Pizza Bowl has great food, but only go if you have plenty of time on your hands. The last time we were there, we waited over an hour for two pizzas. There were only three other people in the entire place.
The pizza here is awesome. Loaded with toppings and lots of gooey cheese. We tried the deep fried cauliflower also and it was hand battered big chunks of cauliflower that were hot and crispy. We checked it out the first day of vacation and went back several times so we could try more items. Everything we had was good. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly! The atmosphere is a small town bar with a seperate dining room and 3 or 4 lanes of bowling in yet another room. The place is very clean and neat.
This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel owner. We were a bit hesitant to go to a 'pizza bowl" for dinner; however, the owner was right. The menu had a wide variety of home-cooked food. Generous portions, great price, great service and the best homemade old-fashion ever made for an excellent choice. Yes, it is a bar and bowling alley, but the quaint, clean dining area is separated from the noise. I believe they have take-out and delivery options, too. Bring your appetite as the portions are huge. I am not a "foodie", but I think I could eat here all day as I watched this "yummie" food come out of the kitchen to other diners. We had the Friday night fish fry special, which was so tasty. The hamburgers looked enormous. Don't forget to stop here for good, old-fashion, fresh food for a great price.
Neighborhood bar with a few tables. Warm and friendly. We had the 16" thin crust supreme pizza. It was one of the best we've ever had. With pizza, we usually like to eat half and take the rest home for another meal, but we had to force ourselves to stop eating with 4 squares left. We'll definitely be back.
