rustic road brewing company

I have a fondness for people who follow their dreams. This is one of those places. Greg York loves beer and loved to home brew. Now he owns his own brewery! I stopped by Rustic Road with my brothers and a couple of friends. We had a great time! Greg and Michelle were great hosts. We enjoyed several different beers and a flight to sample everything. While I am not an IPA fan, I can appreciate them. All of the beers we tried were really good. While they do not serve food, they do have a great meat and cheese tray from local businesses. You can also order food from a local restaurant that will deliver the food to Rustic Road. Something to keep in mind is that this is truly a nano-brewery. Their batches are not very big and the selection will change on a regular basis. This tells me that the beer is good AND fresh. Great job Greg! Keep up the good work!

We had a small group on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered three flights of six beers. There wasn't a "loser" in the lot. The IPA's were our favorites,but there was something about the Hazelnut Harvest that made us think this would be a great beer for breakfast: pancakes, sausage and Hazelnut Harvest. The Maibock was also quite good.The bartenders worked together to pour all of our beers quickly and helped to explain their brews. The only knock was that the QR Code on the flight sheet was not accurate. Nice atmosphere, friendly place.

Small place but big on atmosphere along with great beer. I had there hazelnut which was delish! We will be back

I had the Motueka IPA, SOuthport Wheat, and (my favorite) the hazelnut harvest, it had a great natural nutty character. They were brewing when I visited and the place smelled fantastic. Their hours are a little limited but it is a small operation.

Stopped in by chance and couldn't have been happier that we did. Our bartender, Sarah, was fabulous -knew the brews, the area, and was totally honest with us- the brews were some of, if not the best, we've ever had. Small place, relatively basic decor, but who cares?We sampled a number of their brews that were all very good, but settled on the "Queen Bee" and the "Hazelnut Harvest". I thought the Queen Bee was fabulous, then I tasted the Hazelnut Harvest. Never enjoyed anything like it at all so comparisons would be futile, but a truly unbelievable flavor. Can't wait to get back and see what new brews will be in!!
