This upscale Lounge is the norm in Chicago or New York. I could tell from the customers sitting around me they had no appreciation for 88 Keys. There are not many Lounges in southeast wisconsin. This is top of the list. The drinks are unique. I tend to agree with some of the reviews I've read in regards to service. The service was disorganized.
Great Martini's - affordable with good specials. They often have music on the weekends. They have good food and we heard they use local cheeses and produce from the West Allis Farmer's Market when available.
88 Keys is a unique business in downtown West Allis. Unique. In that it is a true martini bar while offering some food. Ambiance is the reason for its success. It is a good place to relax and enjoy company. Fine selection of liquor and their own specialties.
While 88 keys does have a great selection of martinis and ok appetizers, the service at this establishment is horrible. From the bartenders to the waitresses, it’s like they don't have a care in the world about the customers. We came in a couple times for Wednesday evening happy hour and each time had to wait a minimum of a half hour for service and in at least one case over an hour to receive our bill. There is no reason that anyone should have to wait that long.
Rude service; overpriced drinks. Too many alternatives in Milwaukee to wast a good evening on this establishment.
My husband and I have gone here with both a group and as a couple. We enjoyed it both times. The martini selection is over the moon. The appetizers however seemed overpriced for what you received and the bruschetta didn't have alot of flavor. Maybe an off night because the appetizers we had with the group were much better. Would highly recommend this place for a quick night out or for a fun group get together.
My husband and I went here with some friends the other night. Their martini menu is impressive. I had the little bohemian and a mojito martini. Both were very good and very strong. My husband and his friend ordered drinks from the bar also made very well. The atmosphere is very sophisticated and is nice for after work or for a night out. I will also be trying their ladies night on Thursdays which include free "mini cures" in which they have free manicures and half price martini's all night. The service was a little bit slow, but it was busy. Our waitress was very nice and informative. Great atmosphere, great prices ($8-10 per martini) and great service. They also have a nice food menu which includes fondue and pizza. I highly recommend this place
