This is a really neat natural attraction in the dells. If you are more of a nature sightseer this is for you.
My husband and I are going to the Dells in April. I havent been since I was a kid. He's never been. I remember the Witches Gulch and how cool it was. It's nice to see some oldies, but goodies in the Dells--and not just another tacky waterpark or kids attraction
Its worth a quick stop if in the area. Better yet you can take a boat ride to get there and a couple other stops. I did that and enjoyed seeing the witches gulch but not much else to see without the boat ride
This place is very beautiful to look at and hike through. It can be a bit hard to find off the main road, we took a few passes to actually find the correct road. Price is not bad for what it is, but I would not come back here regularly. We came on a drizzly day towards the end of their hours. We were allowed in under the impression that they would be open for another hour or so, but once we got part way through, the owners shooed us out because the last boat tour was cancelled and they wanted to go home. Not a good impression. All in all, beautiful and quiet, but come on a nice day early afternoon so you can take it all in.
This is probably the most interesting part of the Dell Boat Upper Dells tour on the Wisconsin River. Interesting rock formations up close. After a short walk on a boardwalk, there is a place to get a drink/snack and use the rest room.
I loved this stop on the boat tour. If you love nature & geology, this place purifies you from the tourist traps invading the Dells.
Visiting the Gulch is a part of the Boat Tour. It is a unique. Great place for photographers, lots of interesting angles of view!
Wasn't sure what to expect but we had a great time. The weather was awesome so the night time boat ride was cool. Something you don't get to do very often. Would like to take this boat tour in the day light as Witches Gulch is spectacular. Natural rock formation in the narrows. Concession stand selling snacks, ice cream and beer! We loved it! Plus the bathroom is handy also. The scares on the way back to the boat was all in good fun. For the money, everyone visiting the dells this time of year should go.
Loved that we stopped here! The boardwalk takes you over the water between the rocks creating a wonderful sound to go with the beautiful walk. It is not real long, but much longer than I expected. Many turns in the path. We accessed it from the roadside, giving us no time limit as to how long we spent there. The $5 fee was worth checking this out. We went 10/18 so it was very quiet once a boat tour group moved on.
If you haven't been or even if you have I suggest going. Really neat to see and walk thru. There is a concession stand and it's $5 to walk thru or you can take a boat tour to get here. It was neat to see the rock formations and the water running below.
Came here as it was one of the stops of the Upper Dells Boat tour. Such a unique and unusual place. Loved the stone formations, so different from any other canyons I have seem before. Along with the lost Canyon Carriage tour this is my favorite at the Dells.
This was a great place to stretch your legs and take beautiful pictures. We took the two hour Upper Dells boat tour and they let us off here to explore for a while. It was so peaceful and I was able to take a ton of wonderful pictures.
Very fun. Nice boat ride in the dark, star gazing was wonderful. Then some scary Halloween fun. Glad we had the half price coupon.
favorite spot! Took boat tour and this was one of the stops. beautiful and easy walk. Lots of picture opportunities. Would recommend the boat tour as part of this
This was one of our favorite spots in Wisconsin. It is absolutely beautiful. We went both through the main entrance and the boat tour.
