Experienced the house during the Trees of Christmas weekend. Beautiful!The history of the house is interesting and the people are very knowledgeable.Thoroughly enjoyed the visit...will be back to view the grounds in the warmer months.

This antebellum mansion is more than a local treasure.....it has ties to national history too! The director is knowledgeable, engaging, friendly and happy to answer questions. I look forward to a return visit!The home could use some care, but from what we understand the expense is beyond the budget of the historical society. Bill Gates, where are you?!

This mansion is truly a hidden gem. The property is beautiful and perfect for pictures and romantic walks around the area. The director in charge does an excellent job recreating the era that once was. Keep up the excellent work and thanks for making this place available for everyone!

This is a beautiful historic Old House with a director who makes it come alive with his stories. Joshua is very knowledgeable about the history of the house, the people that lived in the house, and the items on display. It is a little way off the road so look carefully to find it. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour.

This stately mansion has seen better times. Once you enter the up-kept drive that seems to be the end of the up-keeping. The bushes were all overgrown, the exterior needs some help and there were an enormous amount of old dumped electrical items behind the home such as computers, TV's, monitors etc. It completely took away from the venue. Due to the lack of luster, nobody wanted to stay the 45 mins. until it opened (if it opened) for tours because they felt it must have been closed. The parking situation is not too great either. Must admit we were disappointed. Perhaps the interior has more to offer than the exterior did.

I've visited the biannual Trees of Christmas display for at least 14 years-never disappointed. The trees and the mansion's rooms are wonderful. Also, have gone to the summertime event, very nice, lovely grounds.
