On a New England road trip, my wife and I happened to stop at this winery which was in the process of harvesting grapes. Although it was only 11am, we participated in a tasting of 3 wines each (total of 6) and were overwhelmed with the taste and quality of the product. We bought a few bottles for ourselves and for gifts and everyone has raved over the taste and quality. We purchased primarily their Pink Catawba and Niagara varieties and loved the ice wine also. I am hoping that they can ship into our home state of Kentucky since they take phone orders with free shipping. The facility is quaint, clean and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you are in the neighborhood I recommend that you stop by and definitely try their product. It's certainly worth the trip and time in my book! KUDOS to the owners and staff!
If you are a lover of Sherry, this is a good one! We did a tasting of the Mazza wines..my favorite was the Cream Sherry..I think they said the alcohol content was 16.5% so it's pretty potent...sweet and delicious!
I enjoy visiting wineries while on vacation. My cousin and I visited Mazza Vineyards in North East, PA the first week of Sept. It is only a few miles from Erie. The staff was very knowledgable about their wines, and we enjoyed all of the wines and bought several. Looking forward to returning someday.
We had the best time touring all of the wineries in Westfield NY area, the people were great the wine was wonderful and the tastings were perfect. Highly recommend this to everyone.
They have a fabulous unoaked Chardonnay. You can buy a bottle and sit on their porch and see the vineyards. They serve a few lunch items or just some cheese and bread. A great stop.
My boyfriend and I chose this winery because it was not too far from where we were staying and we wanted to experience a wine tasting for the first time. We are very pleased with our experienced there and would love to go back when we visit Northeast again. The woman who helped us was very helpful and polite. She knew a lot about the wines and was patient with us as we were looking over the wine list. The bottles were not expensive to buy either. The wines were delicious as well.
Stopped in to buy some white wine for my wife. I was served some samples then bought a very nice white with a dry finish. She has enjoyed the wine so I can recommend their Barebones White.
We stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was informative and the wine sampling prices were very fair. We picked up several bottles of wine and felt better since we were supporting a local winery.
My wife and I always enjoy a stop at Mazza Vineyards. We no longer take the tours, and just like the atmosphere, tasting and buying a bottle or two of their fine wine to take home. The prices are good, the selection of wines is broad and the people are friendly. Try it, you'll like it.
Local vineyard that has great wine. Tour the vineyard and learn about the wine making process and how they harvest the grapes. The different varieties grown in the region make for some of the best wine in the states. Also you can sample all the different varieties.
Mazza offers a wonderful assortment of both sweeter & dry wines and has over the last 5 years made an effort to be more inclusive with those who prefer a less sweet selection.
The exterior and interior of this winery are really cool. We were the only ones inside at the time, but the woman there was very friendly and explained the wines to us as we tasted. This is one of the wineries in the area that charges for tastes but does not credit you the wine tasting if you buy bottles to go (a bit ridiculous, if you ask me). The wine selection is varied and the prices are reasonable.
spent some time tasting at Mazza. A lot of different wines to sample. They even have sparkling grape juice for the non-drinkers. Nice staff
There are better wines in the area, and we didn't like their method of tasting as compared to other nearby wineries
We stopped here during the recent wine fest. We enjoyed a few of the selections offered and even ended up buying a bottle. For the most part it is an Average find. What we didnt like is paying to taste the wine. We have been to alot of wineries and never had to pay for samples. I dont know maybe hard times have hit Mazza
