Some nice falls with some maintained trails to hike on. Best after a heavy rain. The trails connect to Cliff Park trails and "swimmimg" hole. Enjoy!
Refurbished outhouse @ parking lot was all the gosfip a decade ago ie $250k for a 2 seater, faux craftsman style out houseOnce privately owned w/ petting zoo (some fencing remnants remain)Lots of trailsSome quite difficult All worth the effortFor handicap see Dingmans Falls
Not too difficult to get too and really breathtaking. Try to go after a rain so you can get the full effect of the waterfall!!
Usually I hike to Raymondskill Falls in the Summer however I recently went and the falls with covered with ice. It was amazingly beautiful (slippery walk, be careful !) It is not an intense walk and most people can make it without too much difficulty. Bring your camera..
11-13-14 We just walked down to the top of the falls. There is a rest room at the parking lot. The different parts of the falls are not well marked. W.e took the road all the way to the top where it meets another road and there is a place to turn around and then stopped at the first parking lot down The weather was cool but this place would be a great place to have a picnic in summer
It is worth it to see Pennsylvania's tallest waterfall. It wasn't that far of a walk from the car to get to the falls. The walk to get to and from the falls is definitely sloping, but not on an edge or anything really scary. We got photos of a very tall, thinner waterfall and photos of a lower, wider waterfall. They both were pretty!
Very easy to get to. A nice path to follow. Yes there is a hill, after all its to a waterfall. The Falls were awesome and made for a great short hike.
We hike here a few times a year. Unfortunately, there is almost no water. We had such a dry summer, that the falls are tiny. Still a nice hike, but no pretty water fall.
Not challenging to get there at all, cute waterfalls.we went there on the way to Poconos mountains.overall it was good.
A short walk down a slightly steep trail (and back up, remember) to a gorgeous waterfall. If you take the path to the left part way down, you'll go right down to the river. Very nice.
Dingman Falls was closed after Labor Day but I didn't know until we got there. I even tried walking up from the road but they came down and said it wasn't possible to get to the falls at all. We went to Raymondskills which was nearby and it was very nice, an easy walk though, nothing strenuous.
To start with the trails are not are nice as bushkill falls. But wow! THE SCENERY IS BEAUTIFUL. The one big falls is amazing. The trails need some maintenance. The bathrooms are TERRIBLE!!!!!!
We enjoyed the nice nature trail and the waterfalls - be prepared for some steep trails and changes in elevation. The water was still running too fast to enjoy entering the pools, but it sure was a nice re-connection with nature.
Raymondskill Falls is one of the nicest falls I have ever been to. You can swim at the bottom of the falls. The water wasn't that warm but on a hot day it was pretty refreshing. The drive is about 10-15 minutes from Milford. I have been to these falls many times and every time I go it gets better and better. If you go to Milford go to Raymondskill Falls.
The falls were very beautiful great opportunity for loads of family photos with the falls in the backdrop hiking to and from the falls wasn't very fun for all in the family
