Charging for parking is nothing new in the World of Amusement parks. River Country spends many thousands of dollars every year to maintain a parking area within our natural setting. In terms of parking fees, ours is one of the lowest, for example "Dorney Park's parking fee is $15. Disney World in Orlando FL is $17, and Great Adventure's parking fee is $22. So, comparatively speaking River Country's $6 is a bargain. You point out another Tubing outfitter that offers a tube ride for $20, what you don't point out is that the outfitter offers a "2 hour" trip for $20, and a "3hour trip" for $25. River Country offers a 2,3, or 4 hour Tubing trip for the same price. It is your choice to pick the trip you want all at the same price. By the way, our tubing price Specials (which have run ALL Season) have run for either $11 or $15! Thus comparing "apples to apples", there is no comparison.

Again, our parking fee is among the very lowest, as a "World traveller" you surely must have seen that Great Adventure charges $22 for parking, or Disney World charging $17 for parking. In terms of nickel and dimeing over other services such as rope to use, we advise and encourage on our tips page to bring your own rope if you wish. You further suggest buying fresh food from a food vendor in the middle of the river. Does this food vendor have restrooms? Hot water? Is it inspected by the Bucks County department of Health as our cafe is? Our food is prepared by a real chef, that teaches Culinary Arts, not to mention that our meal deal (currently priced at $5) is freshly prepared.

We went tubing with our friends over the weekend and it was so much fun! The whole experience at River Country is so organized, from parking to locking up the car keys to paying to choosing the tubes to waiting for the bus. For the 9 of us, we got 2 double tubes and 5 single tubes. We brought lots of rope with us and tied all of the tubes together, and we had no trouble maneuvering around as we floated down the river. We had 5 kids with us, ranging in age from 7 to 15, and they all loved it. We will definitely come back! Our only complaint is that the port-a-potties were horrible. We arrived at 10:30am on Saturday, and the port-a-potties looked like they hadn't been serviced in a week. When we returned from tubing at around 3:30pm, the port-a-potties were completely disgusting, and they were all missing toilet paper and there was no hand sanitizer left in the dispenser. The rest of the facilities are so well-maintained, so this was surprising -- not to mention that they charge a hefty fee for tubing so they should be able to pay for maintaining the port-a-potties so that they are always available for use.

Daughter and I tubed late July on a Tuesday at noon, temp was in high 70's on a cloudy/sunny day, river water was relatively warm, current was somewhat fast.It had rained very heavily the day before and the river was a little high.We opted for the 3 hour trip which actually was completed in 2 hrs.Very scenic and tranquil.I am 65 and had absolutely no problems at all. The parking lot is rough river rock and less than stellar. We purchased our tickets on the internet site and saved $6 or $8 on the cost, and we also upgraded to the deluxe tube. The deluxe tube has a solid plastic bottom rather than the hole in the bottom. My daughter experienced this for the first time and commented that it was much more comfortable and well worh the $4 upgrade(she has made this trip numerous times) .Make sure to go to their webpage to see the daily specials. If you are from out of town and using a gps device for directions, you may not be able to find the address that is given on the web.Instead, when you enter the address into the gps use Pipersville rather than Point Pleasant for the name of town. After your trip make sure to stop in New Hope Pa.The only downside to our excursion was the fact that tha portapotty's are not maintained.Ther is a changing facility available also. You can also check your keys at the counter for $2

we've been tubing here twice now and it is still just as fun! we did the 3 hour trip which ended up being 2 hours because the river was fast that day. we bought a groupon and saves around $10 per ticket! so when you arrive, you go to the booth that collects the groupon, and you sign a waiver and then you get a stamp on your hand. after that you pick up a tube and get on the big yellow school bus, that drops you off up river where you begin your journey. then you walk down to the river, hop in your tube and float on. we took the kids, ages 9-17 and they all loved it! would definitely go again!

Liked: you end where you park.Disliked: the bus ride up, felt like I was going to fly out of my seat, the keycheck costs money (otherwise I have to bring my keys with me on the river haha), and no food mid-trip (I hate packing anything so this was the deciding factor for me).

We pre-paid for tubing with weekday groupon - $11 for $22 value. After looking at our summer schedule, we realized that we were very limited with available days this summer. We also reviewed the river conditions on BCRC website on daily basis and ntoiced that river level was always above normal and restricts anyone under 8 from tubing. Since we have a 7 y.o., I wrote to BCRC ahead to determine our options and was advised that we can rent raft and pay the difference. I took vacation day from work and pulled my three kids out of day camp early to try the rafting option on Thursday July 17, 2014. We were greeted by friendly staff at booth, but they interpreted the difference in price from tube to raft using the paid price of groupon as value, rather than the promotional value of groupon - this came to be add'l $22 per person ($33 less $11). After paying $55 for groupon for tubing and checking with staff ahead on our options, I was not happpy to have to pay add'l $110. Staff explained that it was not their fault that I misinterpreted the upcharge option. While I am not happy with how the situation was handled, I am not that surprised, since the facility seems to nickel and dime for each service ($6 parking, $7 for rope to tie tubes together, $5 hot dog; etc). I also inquired with staff on how I get reimbursed for my groupon value, and they referred us to groupon, since BCRC does not get paid until we redeem the service. Thankfully, groupon reimbursed our payment. I will commend the staff on their professionalism entire time, which is why I gave rating of 2, rather than 1. Even though I was not happy with the upcharge, they were always respectful and patient with listening to me and professional with responses. They also reimbursed my $6 parking fee, since we actually could not go rafting. Also, my wife, who is frequent groupon user, understands their policy of using paid value and thinks that is typical groupon policy for most businesses. While I do not disagree with this policy, this can be made more evident on BCRC website, or in fine print of groupon offer or in separate email when customer queries ahead.

My mother and I treated my nephews to a lazy day on the river last weekend, and we had a great time. We bought groupons for our group of 6 -- age range from 14 to 60. We stuck to the regular tubes, which were color coded by weight class. **Don't forget to lather up with sunscreen before you board the bus!! We opted to bring our own lunch, so we did not sample the food for purchase. The river was pretty high from the recent heavy rains, so we finished well under 4 hours. There was a lot of paddling to try and keep the group together, get to the right side of the river, etc, but nothing too strenuous. The staff were helpful and nice. We launched into the river off of a concrete ramp and got out of the river easily just by standing up and walking ashore. Very easy - no steep, muddy steps like other operators in the area. The location is a bit remote for us city folk; however, we decided to stop in nearby New Hope for some ice cream to top off the great day. Highly recommend, especially with the groupon.

Such a nice experience. I bought a groupon for 6 of us for a day trip. Such a cute location and I loved that the 2, 3, or 4 hour trips were the same price. We upgraded to tubes with head rests for a small fee ($4).I love that they offer key holding or lockers as well as toys to play with on the river. Staff was friendly, too! Great family activity

This was our first tubing adventure down the Delaware River. The place was very well organized and we couldn't beat the price. Thanks Groupon! The scenery was stunning and the ride down the river was thrilling. Not as relaxing as I thought it might be. The river was running very fast and we had to paddle a lot to stay away from the sides. We opted to go for the 4 hr ride and we finished in less than 3. That included a 20 minute stop for lunch. My biggest gripe was once you get dropped off, you are instructed to cross to the other side of the river. I consider myself a decent swimmer and I found it very tiring. So that may be an issue if you have small children. If that is an issue for someone, there were a few other places on the Jersey side that may be a better option.

My first time tubing on the Delaware - I was taken away with the natural beauty of this river. Driving by in a car is a very different experience from floating down on the water. The water, the trees, the islands, the bird life - all beautiful. The staff was very friendly, helped me choose the right tube and took time to answer my questions. I liked that the 2,3 and 4 hour trips were all the same cost. The weather forecast was poor..but I wanted to go anyway. About halfway through the trip it began to rain and thunder...took shelter on the shoreline and it passed in about 15 minutes. Once we were out on the river again, the staff came up the river in a motor boat to check on us and see if we were okay or needed anything. They also had taken the van up the road in case we were there and wanted a ride back. I felt very taken care of and looked after. As it was, the sun came out and we quickly warmed up...enjoyed an absolutely gorgeous ride! After our ride the owner came down and spent time talking to us, and we had just a wonderful time! If you want a beautiful experience on a beautiful river, with helpful staff and quality equipment...come here.

Came here after they advertised how much better their reviews are than the competitors but boy was I in for a shock. I guess the people here must be getting the one nice person they have on staff, I was met with attitude from every person I ran into. Attitude at the desk when paying, bus driver must have had an off week and would not help and then the individual giving out the kayak at the launch point would not help with the adjustments. Tried to brush it off but even the the staff at the landing stood watching as we struggled to dock the kayaks and get out. They must have been having a more important conversation than there work. Zero leadership from management means staff has no clue how to help people. Its too bad, I had a group of 30 people coming out with me in a month, we will be bringing our business to the competitors you try to bash on your website. If you don't mind a bunch of college kids who don't want to help you AT ALL and your willing to pay top dollar for low end equipment, go here but otherwise I suggest that you find an alternative.

we had a great time ...we got on Groupon two for 22....nice ....the facilities the porto-potties were not very clean ...and the young kids running the operation are running around smoking not so cool ....bring your own string to tie the tubes together because they charge you 2$ ...They drop you off up river and the end is at their location...very nice and convenience...but if you go with kids make sure you know nobody helps you getting into the river or out of the river ...you are on your own .....we had a great day ....

I've wanted to visit the Delaware River for a while and finally got the chance. We very nearly booked with a competitor across the river in NJ, but found this place instead and I'm sure glad that we did.It didn't look good at first. It rained all morning on the way in, and the air temperature was only about 75 degrees, and when we got there the first thing we saw is that they charge extra to park, which made me grumpy and paying almost $90 for four tickets. It seems kind of petty to tack on a parking fee, especially on an overcast day with rain in the forecast. The young people working here turned things around swiftly. When I balked on paying to park up front, the lot attendant invited me to go ahead and park, then come back and pay if we decided to stay. Wow! At the registration, we discovered that I'd clicked the wrong tab and ordered reserve tickets for the next day, not the day I was there, but the girls at the desk quickly fixed me up, offered advice on how the weather looked, and never pressured us to go. Their good attitudes and helpfulness got us in the right frame of mind, so we went for it.Happy employees are usually the mark of a good company. We picked our tubes--I appreciated the XL size that hold hundreds of pounds. I'm a big man, but could sit in these like you mortals sit in your normal tubes. The trips come in 2, 3, and 4 hour tours--all cost the same, it's a matter of how far upstream you let the bus take you before you put in the river. We chose the 3 hour trip, because of the weather. Should have taken the 4 hour trip, it was so nice. It goes fast, too. On a hot day it would have been bliss. As it was, we had a fantastic time and already plan to return with more relatives. As a final note, do not confuse this outfitter with the other one. We talked to some people later in the day who made the same complaints I see on this site--and that muddy slope at the take-out is a real widow-maker. We had a nice picnic before we left and a snack when we were done. Who needs a free hot dog?
