parshallville cider mill

We arrived just as they were closing for the day, so we weren't able to see too much of the place, but the owners were super friendly. The hot cider was amazing! I love history, so I enjoyed looking at and around the old building. There is a creek behind the mill, and the mill wheel is still on the building, though the creek has changed direction a bit since the mill was built, and very little water runs under the wheel. Next time I'm in the area during their business hours (till 6 pm), I'll be back to see it a little more in detail.As a hint, our gps took us off track: follow the signs starting at the highway and you'll have no problem finding it.

I have to admit I've been to quite a few cider mills in the area this year as well as in prior years. The Historic Parshallville Cider Mill in an annual MUST DO. They've never let us down. I'm not exaggerating, it's the best cider I've had at any cider mill in Michigan. The cider doughnuts were fresh and warm. There are two options for caramel apples...they will slice up an apple for you and cover it with fresh soft caramel and scatter the top with nuts if you desire...it's awesome! It's worth the few extra miles off the beaten path!
