salem-south lyon district library

I am a patron of this library as I live in South Lyon. I'm always happy with the quality of service received there. Jill and Jessica, the adult librarians are wonderful and between the two of them can recommend books for almost anybody. Caryn and Kathy, the children's librarians are patient and helpful. Caryn is the reason my son loves to read. She recommended books to him and he's been reading ever since! When I was ill, they even offered to bring books to my home. When I was studying for my Master's Exams, they bent over backwards helping me get the books and articles I needed. I can't say enough good things about them!Also, make sure to try one of their many programs. You'll find yourself laughing and having a very good time with the crafts, or walk out knowing more than you thought you would in an educational program.

Super friendly, helpful staff and nice environment. Love that they accept donations and do so very appreciatively. Great small town library.

Just out of the main centre of South Lyon on road to Ann Arbor this library could be a model for all libraries. Welcoming and wide range of facilities - books, computers, papers , coffee, rest rooms, DVD , bookshop for unwanted stock at very low prices , pleasant garden to sit in etc.Also easy guides to borrow e- books. Well worth a a visit
