crowder state park

I grew up in Trenton, and I have went to Crowder Park as long as I can remember. It's my favorite tennis courts to play on, because the setting is just beautiful and peaceful. Also, all the amazing trails to hike or bike are a wonderful place to escape for awhile.

As an avid runner I was not really keen on galloping through town and Crowder was recommended by the folks at the hotel. It was easy to navigate and had a number of running trails that were clearly marked. The roads passed by camping shelters and bathrooms. I recommend running out there in the morning, as there were less "locals" and gwakers zooming by in trucks while on the connector roads through the park.

Plenty of great hiking trails that really surprise you by the seclusion you are able to find, there are plenty of nice campground areas when your read to relax.

The park has a pretty lake with picturesque walking trails and places to sit or have a picnic.

Nice enough to camp, picnic, hike or bike. Saw a small lake so fishing is an option.

Crowder State Park, just outside Trenton, Missouri is a park with numerous attractions for families and other groups seeking some outdoor fun. There are trail loops of two miles or more up and down the hills and over to the Thompson River. I didn't find convenient parking by the trailheads for some of them. There is a swimming beach on the lake. It also has picnic pavilions and a couple of tennis courts. The park office is minimal, in the maintenance facilities building near the entrance to the park. A few rain-damaged maps were in a rack outside.
