The beginning of the museum is dedicated to local blues artists and performers...as you move through the rooms - early Blues is featured. After the historic offerings, more current blues professionals and then an extensive Rock and Roll section. In the 'back room' you can watch a really well done documentary on the Clarksdale area, local artists and how the town has grown and expanded over the past several years in the music field.

This is fun. We spent a few hours in here. This is an exhibition of a personal collection. The guy had spent YEARS assembling this and now he is sharing it with the world. Lots and Lots and Lots of music memorabilia from decades of music. There is even original artwork by John Lennon on display. The fee is cheap and well worth it!

Nice little museum! Inexpensive admission, very nice tour guide. Lots to see & read. Parking is on the street, no designated parking. Was fun to tour.

I'll go back to see what I missed in a 2 1/2 hour visit. This place is full of musical treasures from around the world.

This is a neat little store/museum started by a Dutch Blues fan. It's $5.00 for a look at a big collection of posters, facts, stories, and lots of pictures and records of the history of blues in Clarksdale. They even show a documentary made about the store, basically made by a fan because he loves blues so much! The lady at the front desk was super nice and gave us a little introduction to the museum, she also shared some funny anecdotes, and even recommend some restaurants. They have a really cool collection of records and its well organized and shows the progression of the music.

It was full of music history up thru the 70's up. So many exhibits to see and enjoy. We could have stayed longer.

This is a privately funded museum with great vibe if you know what you're looking at. It focuses well on the local blues scene & tells a story from blues to rock. Lots of Elvis stuff, British Invasion, Delta Blues, etc. It doesn't seem to enjoy the large influx of cash support that other museums receive but they do a great job of displaying wonderful information & great items just the same. Recommended to anyone who has an appreciation for delta blues & early rock.

Fronted by a nice wee music shop this is a great little museum offering a maze of records and memorabilia from the 1920/30s up until the death of John Lennon. We were met by a lovely lady on the counter who offered to look after our bags while we wondered round. But first she took the time to give us a very comprehensive intro to the museum, including some local facts and about the owner, who's a Dutchman with US citizenship who'd came to Clarksdake and fell in love with the place. If you love popular music come to go visit - it'll be worth it.

We nearly didn't come in here having just been a little disappointed by the Delta Blues museum. I'm really glad we did. An enthusiastic proprietor gave us a quick guide then let us just wander. It really does track the story of how the blues moved into rock with year by year summaries of the key recordings. Some amazing original transcription discs by the likes of Robert Johnson and Bessie Smith but otherwise a wonderful collection of key albums and singles - plus some explicit John Lennon sketches. And all for five dollars.

Really good collection of memorabilia. In the heart of town and looks just like a shop. Don't be fooled, it is a mine of information and was far more comprehensive than the Delta Blues Museum I thought. Better value for money too. We did both and I would pass on the Delta museum.

Lots of history. I've traveled Europe and South East Asia but there's nothing like US history. There was nothing that discouraged me from my quest of discovering the south.

If you have some time and an interest in old records, then it's worth the donation to check it out. From the outside it looks like just a storefront, but it's actually quite large.

We were not expecting a whole lot when we went in. Boy were we wrong! We were able to see associations to almost every one of our favorite artists from the 60's to the 90's. A great experience.
