New management, new grass on the greens, course in great condition. It is only going to get better as time goes on. The new greens are really good despite being planted in July. Friendly, knowledgeable staff in place. I would recommend this course to serious and casual golfers alike.

Make sure you book your T-Time on line through the website and look for discounted t-times. Also you can play on Tuesdays for only $20.00My boys and I were camping at nearby John W. Kyle State park and decided to play a round of golf at this amazing course. Now none of us are what you would call golfers - more like duffers. However, it is always fun to get out on course like you see the pros play on TV. That is what Mallard Pointe is like - you have the beautiful tee boxes and perfectly trimmed fairways. You have your first cut of rough and the ROUGH. Lots of water hazards and sand traps to avoid and super well cared for greens. Hills and uneven terrain that will challenge the most experienced golfer. The great thing is that you never filled rushed playing the staff at the course are amazing. They schedule the T-Times out to where everyone can enjoy playing.I encourage you to play this wonderful course if at all possible.they also have a great driving range, practice green, practice sand trap, great golf carts

Another tough course to play in the hills Mississippi. Good golf on a very nice course. Not far from Ole Miss for fans of that institution of Higher learning. I prefer to play it early in the mornings in the spring, but it is fun to play anytime.

I have not played this course in over a year, but it has always been well kept and a challenging course to play. It is scenic since some of the holes are adjacent to Sardis Dam and lake.

Played here recently. This course is a great layout. Greens were extremely slow though!!!! Will return if greens speed up

Mallard Pointe provides some of the nicest scenery available in North Mississippi. The golf course sets up well and offers some challenging holes. I really enjoyed the layout of the course except for #18 which someone mentioned in another review. That hole is virtualy impossible to figure out and score well on. The greeens on our trip were in nice shape. As with every course, especially public courses, there were some areas that needed repair, but that is to be expected. I will definitely play this course again.

To be fair, this is an interesting layout (except for #18 which is virtually unplayable for ladies or high handicappers). From tee to green your experience here will be reasonably challenging if a bit quirky. But once you reach the greens, forgetaboutit. You need a cannon to reach the cup as the grass is like a tee box at a mid-range muni. They are hairy, bumpy and impossible to read.On the plus side, the staff is friendly and the rate is fair--if the greens were playable. If you are at all serious about playing a real round of golf, skip Mallard Pointe--perhaps try the course in Grenada or the Ole Miss course in Oxford instead. If you don't really care about the game but are looking for a pretty place to drink beer outside, you will probably be happy.

I can tell every time I visit this course the new management is getting her in better and better shape. The course is beautiful and has that "away from the rest of the world" feel to it. I would recommend this course for the peacefullness and beauty right now and when all the restoration is complete I believe this course will be one of the best in North Mississippi.

Played here again this spring after playing here in 2009 and saying i would never go back. Gave them another chance and it still was in bad shape in 2010 as well. Greens were dead and there was not even any sand in the bunkers. Rakes had been removed from course. (guess u don't need them with no sand though)
