Most casino's have good food at a reasonable price. The price was right but food and service were a bust.We were staying at a local motel and heard about the new "buffet". We had to stand in line while others broke line until we got ugly.Afterwe were seated we never saw our server again.Food selection was limited and mediocore at best.
Gambling continues to be dumb and stupid but the casino was right across from the hotel and the hotel had a free shuttle so we went. It's clean, it's noisy, it takes in more money than it gives out, but you have a nice view of the river. It is DOWN on the riverfront by way of a very steep hill so unless you are very fit, don't plan to stroll down to it - or up from it.
upon entering the casino security guard Dave greeted us and told us it was Ladies Day which meant, by having a club card and earning a few points, women could eat Free at the buffet plus $10 free play. My wife left her purse in the car so when she went out to retrieve her license she locked the keys in the car. Every thing was locked in the car except her license. We had AAA auto club but no one was listed in the local telephone book and my cell phone was in the car. Dave, security guard, took us under his wing and was ready to call a locksmith. Debbie, one of the casino directors happened along. When we told her what had happened, she immediately took action. She was hoping to get the door unlocked with a jimmy. Before long a number of workers were working hard, standing in the cold wind, trying to lend a hand in getting our car unlocked. After an hour and a half, Debbie called in a locksmith and said the casino was picking up the charge. We can not express our gratitude enough to all those who tried to help us out. And, they insisted we stay inside the casino out of the wind. By the way, the buffet although not large, was excellent. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Also had fun playing the slots.
Clean, well lit, friendly. Great drinks and gaming. The fine dining restaurant on the weekends can't be beat. Prime rib and lobster on Saturdays for $24.99!!
Very friendly staff. The Buffet is very inexpensive and a great value for what you get! The Casino has a deck off the back with great views of the Mississippi. I even left with $50 more than I had before I arrived!!!
We decided to spend one evening in Natchez at a casino just for slots. We had a good time. Won some and lost some. Staff was friendly and helpful. Found some slots we enjoyed.
We came back to this casino just so we could play this slot machine (Inca) and they removed it from the casino floor. We asked about where it was and the Players club informed us it had been removed and that several people inquired why the machine had been taken away. Then to top it off the waitress was rude, wouldn't bring drinks when we asked and we even tipped her because it was a Sunday night and no one was in the place. Our last time there was good, we had fun and left happy. This time wasn't a repeat. Who knows we may not go back. But go you never know you could get lucky!
The casino is small and does not have all the games I like to play, but the staff was over the top friendly. We went the first afternoon and had a good time. We back that night and the whole staff called us by name. Went back 2 days later and they still remembered us. One blackjack dealer, Shewanda, I believe, would not let you take a bad hit. She would scold you and make you do the right thing.
Went to the Magnolia Bluffs Casino while on a recent trip to Natchez, got $10 worth of free play, quickly lost $5 of it, went to the buffet there (Saw Band Buffet) I believe. It was really pretty good for a buffet and less expensive than any casino buffets I've been to in a long time, because I don't eat that much. $14.95 on Saturday night with crab legs, seafood, etc. Not a slot play or casino goer, but I would go back to their buffet. OH... and they did have a pretty darn good band playing some good MoTown sounds.
Went to play a bit on a Friday night and was very disappointed. Only 2 true Blackjack tables were active and were all full.I finally settled on a 2 deck table and played for about 2 hours. During that time, I never got any drink I ordered. The player sitting next to me had no trouble getting his (he was losing) and he became extremely drunk and quite full of advise quickly. The dealers were poor and sloppy with the cards.I ended up winning a bit of money, but I won't go back. I gamble to have a good time.
Went on a Saturday night and had a great time. It's a small casino but lots of fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's mostly slot machines. Only one or two table games. It's really a laid back casino. The DJ played a mix of music. I even saw people dancing as they mingled through out the casino. Enjoyed it and will go back.
Went there both nights we were in Natchez, easy parking, good sign up promos and excellent variety of machines. I would like to mention as well that on the Saturday night we noticed that there were hardly any white people in the casino and, as it should be, we never felt uncomfortable in any way.
we had the friday night buffet with all kinds of seafood, the best juiciest fried chicken and wonderful salad bar. The dessert area was a little poor but all in all a great meal for about $13
This casino is small, but new and still clean. The staff was extra friendly and the food at the buffet was pretty good by casino buffet standards. The vegetables actually had a taste! There was a pretty good band playing there the night we went (Saturday) and we enjoyed watching them.
We enjoyed the casino not being huge. Had fun on the slot machines and enjoyed a delicious dinner at the buffet. Cat fish was about the best I have had. As well as the ribs and all the sides. It was a nice way to spend a few hours.
