With nothing around for miles, I was lucky to happen upon this swanky joint after lunching at Rusty's a court of blocks down the street. It has a cool bike weird vibe, yet everyone is friendly and welcoming. I never felt uncomfortable, and they have a fabulous espresso machine. The espresso is very Italian, and they seem to know what they are doing. If you are in need of a fix in Vicksburg this is your spot.

Met Daniel Boone doing the best coffee in an eclectic coffee house. Recommended. His coffee is from a west coast roaster which I visited and all can say is that they make goats dance.

Delicious coffee and genuine service! Has to be the coolest coffee house in Mississippi! Definitely a must stop when in Vicksburg.

I cant tell you what was better, the coffee or the staff. Both will exceed your expectations. Have thee Italian Soda [or something close to that] or the coffee but get there before all the chocolate goodies are gone. Sit outside and view the river.

Best coffee in Vicksburg and the interieur is fantastic. Relaxing moment on a busy day? Go for a coffee at Highway 61. We had the coffee latte ( but we needed the extra shot to make it as strong as we are used to in the Netherlands, but we have to add that everywhere in the US If we order a coffee

This coffee house, smack dab in the middle of chic albeit touristy, Washington Street is a mellow, cool-vibe, and comfy place to hang your cup (check out the columns outside the front porch; where myriads of coffee cups and blue-tinted bottles really ARE hanging!), or your hat, as it were. Hand-crafted coffees and espressos, as well as warming teas, light bites, baked goods, music (sometimes live) and wonderfully-distracting wall art...it's all a feast for the eyes, ears, heart, and the appetite. Having free WiFi is a real bonus!

I love this place! My co-workers and I head down here at least once a week for some amazing coffee and hot chocolate (frozen or regular, they are both amazing!). The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and once you have been in a few times, they start to chat with you about work/life and such. The atmosphere is comfortable. A little bit eclectic, with art everywhere and comfortable chairs and tables. If you are in town, this place is NOT to be missed!

I just moved to Vicksburg and was initially dismayed to find that the closest Starbucks was at least 30 minutes away. That was until I discovered Highway 61 Coffeehouse. It's everything that a Starbucks is (great coffee) and everything a Starbucks wants to be (fantastic ambiance). This is one of those places you go with friends, order a cup of coffee and sit back and enjoy the company and the locale. A hidden gem!

Thanks to the owner Daniel Boone (yes, that's his real name) for the java and the conversation. He provided good info about Vicksburg, his home town, and the local area. The shop is decorated with colorful folk art from his wife's gallery upstairs. Daniel is a musician and also owns a movie theatre in town. So this couple is really contributing to the arts in Vicksburg. Be sure to stop by.

I love good espresso. I'm Australian, it's something we take VERY seriously. The worst aspect of my trip to the US was the hunt for decent coffee. So it was with great pleasure that I found this little cafe hidden down the street. The coffee is good, the service is friendly, the lounges are comfortable and the place is cute. Feels friendly, feels slightly unorthodox. I like that.

Located in downtown Vicksburg. I was passing through town in my road trip, decided to visit the Cocacola Museum nearby. Great coffee, good atmosphere. Love it. The Coca Cola Museum is right next door. Free wi fi too.

Highway 61 Coffee House is located in downtown Vicksburg on the ground floor of one coooool building. 61 Coffee serves up all the best coffeehouse selections; my favorite is the double espresso. It has a crema every time. They also have a small breakfast menu, hot tea, sodas, and snacks. As if this coffeehouse weren't cool enough, my favorite gallery in the state happens to occupy to the 2 floors above. I'm a regular. Oh, and they use only fair trade coffee and its always fresh. One last note: the atmosphere is fantastic - Its bluesy and funky and jazzy and fun. Highly recommended.
