We spent 3 nights camping at TLSP. Shower house clean with plenty of toilet paper. Park Rangers were very helpful with directions to High Bridge Trail for bike riding and Adventure Park Zip line course. One day was very hot and we enjoyed swimming in the lake and eating an Avalanche ice cream challenge. 16 scoops of premium ice cream including toppings and whipped cream! Fire wood was easy to access- honor system right at entrance to camp ground. Some camping sites were a bit small for our camper. Enjoyed our time and would return again! !

Small camping area, about 35 sites but trails to keep busy for weekend. Lake for fishing and during summer months there is a swim area. This park is great for a day trip to picnic. Also has two boat launches. Very clean and maintained. Food availble during summer months when lake is open for swimming.

My sister and I took our kids to Twin Lakes State Park this week, hoping for a fun day spent together before school starts up again. We drove a little over an hour from our homes, and found TLSP. We had read online that kayaks were up for rental, which was the original reason we wanted to visit this park. We had 5 kids and 2 adults, and when we arrived, we were delighted by the beauty and peacefulness of the two lakes and park areas. You have to rent the kayaks from teh office at the front of the park if you wish to paddle on Prince Edward Lake. (they have a hummingbird feeder outside the office and there were up to 8 hummingbirds there at one time!) There was a large group of kids swimming in Goodwin Lake and we wanted to be in a more unpopulated area to kayak, so we opted for PE Lake. They also rent canoes and paddleboats at reasonable rates. They provide lifejackets and paddles. The staff was very friendly. Parking will be $2, and swimming tickets range from $2-$3 or free, for under 3 years old. They were running a BOGO special this week, so we made out pretty well. The concession bldg has a/c and nice restrooms/changing areas. They also sell food and hard scoop ice cream if you work up an appetite. We had a picnic lunch under one of the many pavilions on the property near Goodwin Lake. You can do lots more than we did at this state park, but we thoroughly enjoyed our day outside at Twin Lakes. The kayaks are sit-upon, and easy to use - our kids are 11, 12, 13, and 15 and they had a lot of fun. Next time we'll hike some trails as well!

We rented a 16 person cabin with 2 couples, 3 children & 3 dogs (6 adults, 3 children, 3 dogs ).The state park is very quaint. It's clean and quiet but there are no scenic views or anything of state wide significance. The hiking trails surround the lake and offer a healthy activity with some nice views of foliage. Our dogs LOVED the opportunity to jump in the lake and earn their "sea legs." Additionally, we thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit at night and the "honor system fire wood store" which made it extremely easy to continue our cookout long into the night!!!The cabin was "dorm like". One communal bathroom with 2 heads, 2 faucets and 1 shower with 2 shower heads.Long story short... For 80 bucks over 2 nights, it gave me a great opportunity to hang out with some friends in a pet friendly environment without burning a hole in my wallet.
