When we drove past, this location was locked down tighter than Fort Knox. The only items we were able to see where the couple outside the gates, and turning around just to see them was kind of scary = thought we were going to get stuck in the dirt. Wish the gates would have been open to see all of the neat things inside. Would have loved to take photos of all the items.

As we were passing through Natural Bridge, VA we noticed a very unique windmill that said Enchanted Castle Tours and a tall wooden fence and wondered what was behind it. As we passed the gates were open and we saw what looked like a fiberglass structure graveyard. We immediately stopped and noticed someone working in a warehouse and walked in to ask permission to take pictures. They said sure and I pulled out my camera. We were told the Enchanted Castle was a tourist attraction in the 90s until a fire in 2001 gutted the place. As I looked around I saw dozens and dozens of fiberglass creatures strewn all over the yard. I later found out that the person we were talking to was Mark Cline, the creator of everything I was looking at. The giant King Kong on top of the Pink Cadillac Restaurant in Roanoke, VA is one of his creations. There are no longer public tours but the website says you can stop by and take a look at any time....admission is free. In my opinion this place should be added to the list of "must sees" in Roadside America.
