My husband and I were recommend to this winery a few years ago by some people that we met at a local restaurant while visiting other wineries in the area. It was a little further out then most of the wineries that we typically visit, so we never quite made it out there. We finally made the trip out to use our Virginia Wine Pass to get 2 for 1 tastings. We were greeted and served by Amy. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We both chose flight 1 for the lighter and sweeter wines. We really liked the MOM and Primita and even got the Primita filled dark chocolates! The wines were so good that on a whim we decided to join their wine club! We are looking forward to visiting again and trying a different flight, as well as getting our wines sent to us.

This place is darling! The owner is the sweetest of women and the tasting girl really new everything about the wine and winery. The tastings were broken into 3 types depending on your wine preference. This is awesome idea since there are times when not everyone in the group wants to try every wine!!! The grounds are beautiful and you can order some traditional Indian tapas to snack on while you spend time on their beautiful deck. Oh and did I mention we took wine home! Overall we really enjoyed this experience and I would recommend this winery to anyone!

Really nice pourers ("the Peacock Crew") and we found some tasty wines. A great estate on which to wander, including a pond and some wonderful Adirondack chairs.

We ended up stopping in here on our way from an overnight stay in Washington, VA and so glad we did! The wines were terrific, particularly the reds! They had a great selection for their tasting, and we loved their Chambourcin wine. Not too sweet, good price. Wish we could have stayed longer and had lunch too - the property looked beautiful!

We ended up here after a tiff with another winery (gadino cellars) and they accommodated us beautifully. And their wines are awesome. Everyone left with one bottle purchase if not more. i personally bought three. Very Friendly!

Unlike Gadino Cellars, they were very accommodating with a group of people. Their wine is excellent with many different varieties. The ambiance is great as well with a great view onto the vineyards and an amazing tasting room.

We stopped at this winery on a whim and because I read about the owners. We were surprised at what we tasted. We found some things that we liked and the atmosphere in the tasting room is very nice. Even though the manager of the tasting room was very friendly and loved to engage in conversation, I felt a bit of a sales pitch (not pressure, just a pitch!). My feeling is that the wine should speak for itself.

Stopped in for a tasting and to check out their food menu, since we heard they sold curried foods, which we love. The person helping us gave us the tasting menu which showed three different tastings they offered, in 3 different categories. We picked a middle category, as we prefer drier wines. The wines we tasted weren't bad, so we bought a chardonnay. We looked at the menu and decided to just stick with ordering hummus which is said comes with "Indian Bread." The bread is a thinner naan, like a pita and it was stale and the amount of hummus we got was a very small portion. Didn't see other dishes being served. The prices were high for what you seem to get though. The hummus was tasty, but definitely not worth the price.Prices of their wines is a little on the high side as well. The place is large and very pretty, but for some good wines, Gray Ghost is within a mile of this winery and we highly suggest that one instead... better wines at a better price.

We really enjoyed the wines and the winery! The outside deck and the grounds were beautiful! Definitely a peaceful place and great for enjoying a good glass of wine!

An Indian owned Winery producing some very interesting wines. We particularly enjoyed their heavy Reds. The owners have clearly poured a lot of money into this venture, and the grounds are absolutely stunning. Worth a visit.

This was our first time to visit this winery. The wine is excellent. You get a free glass for the tasting fee. And the owners visit with the guests. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SPOT FOR A VISIT. Going back next week with an our of town guest.

this was a fantastic surprise that we tried on a whim last weekend! My wife and I were spent the weekend in Virginia wine country and decided to pop in for a visit on or way out. I wasn't sure what to expect since there Virginia wine runs the gamut from amazingly good right down to utter gut rot. I am happy to say Narmada is squarely in the former category. They are my second favorite winery in Virginia and pretty much everything I tasted was fantastic! I was a huge fan of the Melange and was very excited to see they had a Tannat as well! You can tell the wine maker put a lot of heart into their work, and the wine shows it! The Venue is also extremely nice and you can see there was a a lot of money invested in the tasting room and event space at Narmada.

It is a nice setting to sit back, relax, sip some wine and listen to some music being played outside out on the deck. My tasting was not very informative and we didn't have the full attention of the serve. Their food is delicious is snack on.

So we went here today after a hike. It looked like a great place. We went in and asked the owner's wife about grilling options. They don't have grills on site so she pointed us to the picnic tables. We used our disposable grill which may have been on for less than 40 minutes. We also bought two bottles of the mom wine and indian food platters. Once we were ready to wrap up, the owner comes and lectures our group about grill fire and it's hazards. This goes on for 10 mins in which he also mentions how this is his property and not a national park. Worst of all, they had a ridiculously large bonfire on the property. How is a bonfire convenient and not a small grill fire?? It's okay to say no to grill fires but put up signs and don't lecture your guests and don't have fires of your own. Not coming back again. Didn't make us feel welcomed. Plus why don't you have a grill around in the first place??

I went with one of my friends on a "girl's day out" to a few wineries. One of the ones we hit was Narmada. We were the only ones that were there at the time but it was a Thursday. I believe it was the owner that waited on us. She was very friendly to us. We ordered the $9 flight of wines and wound up purchasing a bottle of "Dream" to drink outside. Overall we really enjoyed it.
