university of mary washington galleries

This review is not about the Gallerie, but the campus bookstore. I called and they said they close at 3pm on Friday. I left Dulles Airport at 11am and I-95 was car to car. I called and said, "my GPS says I will be there at 3:03pm, can you stay open?" yes. I parked on campus and ran to the bookstore. Got there 3:03 and CLOSED. Banged on the Bookstore window and they all looked at me said mouthed, CLOSED. Well, I had an order for 16 University of Mary Washington tee shirts and last year gave thousands to college as an alum. As the Baltimore Ravens say, "nevermore". Thanks for not waiting for me or letting me in after fighting traffic on I-95 to get to your place.

Art galleries are very nice. Campus is beautiful. Great place to visit for a few hours and see some beautiful history of this school.

Beautiful campus, tons to see: Ridderhoff Gallery, Jepson Science Center, Waterfall for scenic, tranquil talks with friends, Dodd Auditorium beautiful ceremonies there. guest lecturers.

Walked the campus, earlier this month, checked out construction site, next to the Simpson library, a lovely early evening walk.

Gorgeous campus! Very nice area just for walking children or pets. Not sure of day-to-day activities on campus for the public, but just a walk on the campus is relaxing and peaceful.

The Symphony at Christmas is well worth attending every year. It sets the stage for the Season. Don't miss it very well done.

Beautiful and stunning artwork of all kinds, historical paintings, etc. Great for art/history buffs.

Ridderhof Martin is the art gallery/museum that's in a separate building. It also houses the school's permanent art collection. DuPont gallery features more contemporary exhibitions as well as student and faculty work. It's worth a trip to see what the student artists are producing. There's a lot of talent at the school!

Der Campus der University of Mary Washington ist sehr weitläufig und bietet zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, sich niederzulassen und die Bauweise der vielen Gebäude zu bewundern. Die meisten davon sind ausschließlich den Studenten vobehalten, aber in den Uni-Shop und die Gallerien kommt man z.B. auch als Besucher.

Жила во Фредериксбурге летом, часто ездила на работу на велосипеде через студгородок этого университета. Летом там почти безлюдно и очень красиво. Много зелени, есть возможность отдохнуть в шезлонге или у фонтана и просто насладиться тишиной и красотой этого места. Есть в нем что-то захватывающее, что заставляет каждый раз вспоминать о нем с теплотой и ностальгией))
