We wanted to try something a little different and had heard great things about the Northeast Texas Children's Museum. The price was great, the facility was clean, staff was pleasant. However, what we found was a free-for-all of poorly behaved children playing in a land of misfit toys. It's not a museum as much as it is an assortment of different interactive exhibits. With more supervision from both parents and staff, this could have been an enjoyable experience.

I took my 2 yr old here. He loves it. So much for him to do. I've been to the one in the Perot Museum and hated it. This one is so much larger and far less crowded. Only downfall is we live in Garland. But when ever we have a chance I take him there.

My niece had a birthday party there and all of the kids had a great time. Plenty of choices for any kiddo to play at.

They don't change up the toys very much, but the price of admission is reasonable and it's good for kids' parties.

I brought 6 kids here for a day out on spring break. They all had a blast going in the bubble room and playing cashier in the bank. Shopping in the grocery store and playing pretend. They all got their faces painted too. We had a blast. They will always remember our trips here when they get older. I recommend this place to anyone with children. It's also a fun thing to do on a rainy day.

We have visited several very well-equipped children's museums in large metropolitan areas that do not hold a candle to this small-town-but-first-rate children's museum. There are many fun and educational organized programs sprinkled throughout the year that are child-centered yet highly engaging for the supervising adults as well. When there are not ongoing special seasonal programs, the museum is a large open space of highly intriguing developmental learning centers which double as just-for-play centers depending on the child's age and imagination. Children can grocery shop, visit the veterinarian, dig in the dinosaur dig sandbox, run NASA's Command Control Center or be the astronaut on the rocket, dress up and perform on a stage, investigate how bones work by observing a mock skeleton ride a bicycle, pretend to fly an airplane in a real fuselage, work in a restaurant, "ride" on a tractor, see how a cow's double stomach works, build with Lincoln logs, do a little rock climbing, investigate gravity with balls rolling on slanted tracks, pretend with a whole host of puppets, or ride on a hand-crank child-sized train "engine." There is more, but you should just go to see it and experience it for yourself! My grandchildren, their parents, and we never tire of visiting this museum. Excellent value for the admission fee.

I am a stay at home mom. Our son is six. We are so happy to live near this museum. We visit often to play & explore the many fascinating hands-on exhibits. During the summer, the museum offers many interesting activities/programs/camps. We held my son's last birthday party there & plan to again last year. LOVE this place.

I was expecting something a bit different from a museum, but this place is chock full of educational areas and toys. Our 3 yr old had a blast. We went on a weekday and the place was practically empty, but that meant we were able to play without much concern for sharing. The bubble room was neat, but my daughter's most vivid memory is milking the cow and getting some water on her sandal.

Great for children. If you are not familiar with a children's museum the name is misleading. There are all kinds of activities for children. Things are changed our from time to time, but the bubble room is always there and kids love it. They can make a bubble around their body.

Our family recently visited the Northeast Texas Children's Museum with some young cousins. The facility itself is older, but the exhibits are fresh and new. The kids enjoyed playing in the veterinary hospital, shopping for groceries, watching the electric train exhibit, and playing in the bubble room. Other exhibits include musical instruments, dress-up clothes, the body of an old airplane, and quite a few puzzle and blocks activities. The museum also offers frequent camps in the summer that cater to many different kind of interests as well as special events like a Daddy-Daughter dance. If you're in northeast Texas, this is a great way to stimulate your child's mind while they have fun!
