We couldn't ask for a better place to go for a mother daughter stop. We tasted many wines and enjoyed visiting with the owner, Michele. She made us feel like family by the time we left and will definitely be coming back for more wines and tastings! This is a place you must stop by when in the area! You will not regret it.

We stopped in Sugar Ridge last year when we were in the area & got some wine. So, we knew we wanted to come back. They weren't open but were available for an appointment. Tasted some again & heard about the wines that are coming on soon. Since we live so far away, we signed up for wine delivery! There are other items available for purchase along with the wines so look around! This is a nice setting. Our next trip must be when the blue bonnets are in bloom.

This spring, we traveled to Ennis to see the Blue Bonnet trails. We had seen the sign for the Sugar Hill winery. We are always looking for another winery to add to our growing list. Though small it is packed with personality and fun. The owner was pouring samples that day and there was a continuous stream of people coming and going. We sampled the list and enjoyed them all. For those who like sweeter wines - most of their wines were on the sweeter side. This made my wife very happy having endured tasting dry wines again and again with me. One wine we bought for a special occasion for the winter is a wine sweet wine with fruit flavors to be served warm with friends by a cosy fireplace. The gift store also is small but well stocked with lots of "wine-themed items." Another nice bonus was the beautiful field of blue bonnets right beside the building which was a great photo opportunity to get to stand in the Texas state flower and smell their unique perfume.
