Don't go inside to fish unless you have an air filter to breathe thru - it is a smoke filled room of olds guys who have nowhere else to go and hang out.It used to be a great place for families but it has run down now to a near wreck. I fish on the shore of the lake nearby instead of hanging out there. If they added some shade covers and even some old fans it would be a great place to fish from. Too bad that this old barge isn't cared for or it would make some money and be great attraction for the lake and tourists.Don't even ask me about the bathroom facilities...enuf said!

The fishing off the bridge is average at best. You can buy your bait there and enjoy the nice seating for fishing. I do much better in other spots on the lake.

My husband loves to fish and has found that the fishing barge is the place to go for an extended time of fishing. While he brings his own equipment and lunch there are extra poles, live bait, snacks and drinks for sale at economical prices. Plenty of room to sit indoors or out. Shaded areas in the summer and warm, toasty inside for winter fishing. Everyone is like one big family out there - you get lots of help and motivation. A great way to spend a few hours or the day.
