We live near the waterpark and I must admit I was very disappointed that there weren't more watersports for adults. Really the only two things is the wave rider and the "Lazy River" which isn't so lazy. The IDEA of a quiet, peaceful float down a river sounds good, but it's not that quiet either. Although we haven't had a chance to experience it yet, they have built some zip lines and rope courses over the park, but as far as watersports go, I think they failed to realize that adults, especially those with no children, would appreciate a quiet pool that was primarily for adults only. Even a hot tub under shade would be wonderful. You are allowed to bring in a SMALL cooler, but they charge $30 for a season pass for your cooler. Food and beverages are expensive, even for a typical water park. One more piece of information that no one told us about, and I don't know how to approach the topic in a tasteful way. Just let me say that there are religious signs and quotes from the Bible everywhere you look. If you are not a religious person, it might offend you. It just seems out place in a waterpark where people are supposed to concentrate and are paying for nothing but fun, fun, fun and not quotes from the Bible. The staff is always very nice, but for $74 a season for a single adult, I think this park was very overrated to begin with plus, unless they changed from last year, you have to pay for parking as well. My suggestion? Go to San Antonio instead.

I have a 10 year old and a 19 year old and we all had a lot of fun here and will return. This review will mostly help those who are not season-pass holders. I'm looking forward to the more permanent structure next season (and hopefully the better managed line/entry process). If you plan ahead (I suggest reviewing on their website before you go) you can save a lot of money. Plan to pay parking in addition to admission. There is an additional charge to bring a cooler in with you which is worth the trouble (remember the water & sunscreen!). Although the selection of rides is a bit limited no one seems to mind riding them over and over again because they're fun for most ages. There are two main pool areas where you can park yourself & cooler (if early enough) and there are picnic tables scattered around. We have not visited the new safari style addition and I think that is a separate ticket/charge (that will be clear on the website). Bottom line: We visited twice and happily stayed for the majority of the day both times.

I apologize for those that have seen this review already. I am combining two accounts into one, so I did previously post this on my other account.I went around 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday, July of 2014. It was overall a fun experience, but my only complaint would be that they were still getting organized. There were only three stations with slides - one station had one large slide (in which you need a mat), one had three small/medium body slides, and one had three small/medium slides (in which you need a tube) and then two higher body slides. More slides were still being build. There were always very long lines to get the tubes/mats for the rides and then another line to actually be able to go down, so it was a lot of waiting in line as there weren't nearly enough tubes/mats to go around. My favorite part was the wave pool and the lazy river since those didn't have crazy lines, but getting a tube was always a little difficult. You can enter and leave as you want, so getting a $10 locker isn't worth it. You pay $10 and then they give you back $3 when you return the key. Overall a great experience, but I hope that they get more tubes and mats so that people only have to wait in one line to go down the slides instead of two!

There were lots of "kinks" and delays in getting this attraction up and running. We bought 8 season passes for the family. We enjoyed our visits there, it just seemed like the staff needed more training as to policies and procedures. I hope that next season they will have their act together a little better. Overall, a fun time with the family.

We went on the last day they offered a 2 fer. Since it was the first time, ithe w a great fun. But after spending the full day (open to close), I realized that I didn't feel like I wanted to do it again because I was able to do it enough times throughout the one day I was there. The food was good, I had their hamburger (a bigger burger than I would have thought). But a bit expensive but it was the only thing they had to eat so the lines were really long but the people serving were nice. I liked the mix of music. It's not everyday you can hear contemporary Christian music and then hear Gangnam Style at the same park. I thought the adventure park was quite fun. It was my first time and at first I was hesitant because the employees suiting us up with the gear were so young but rather professional and quite serious about safety.I think the only thing I was really concerned about was the parking lot at closing when it got dark. There isn't proper lighting on the walkways making it a bit dangerous. All in all we had a great day.

Feel bad this place has gotten a bad rap since they started late in the season. It's a fact that bad weather holds construction up, so I wasn't too bothered since they closed the season later than normal. They also compensated with customer service perks. I bought season passes months before they opened. We enjoyed it this summer. Plenty of slides for all types. Lazy river, and now the adventure park area. The location is so convenient that we bought passes again for next year. We went quite a few times.

We came to Round Rock/Austin just for this park. We were not disappointed. All my kids loved the ropes course and we all road the zip-line. So glad we came!

We decided to try out Hawaiian Falls because it was closer than Schlitterbahn. There is a $5 parking fee and the most you pay for the entrance fee is $29.99. For active military, seniors and those under 4 feet tall are at a discount. Coolers are allowed with $10 fee. My family and I were interested in trying out the Zip Canopy tour (for an additional fee) was down that day...bummer. The Pflyin' Hawaiian was another ride we wanted to do, but was closed that day too. There were not enough tubes for the lazy river and wave pool. Both the lazy river and wave pool were too crowed. The lazy river was not what you would call "lazy". After 4 quick go arounds in the lazy river, we were done and tried the wave pool...too crowded. My son and his friend tried the Adventure Park and seemed to enjoy that. Surfside Barbecue was disorganized. Orders were taken, no numbers for their orders were given and people waiting for their food all caused a pileup in the Surfside Barbecue. The workers were young and moving casually without any purpose. Event center is still under construction. I would go back only because of the distance from where we lived.

This is the first waterpark that I have ever attended, so I don't have anything to compare it to. My sons and I enjoyed it. We took our own food and drinks in a cooler. The cooler had an entrance fee of $10.00. Upon entrance, they first inspected my cooler, bag and purse. I am not a big fan of this, but I didn't have anything that I couldn't reveal. If you go, take sandals. The pavement gets fire hot. My son and I enjoyed the slides. Although neither of us went on the highest ones. We also enjoyed the wave pool, although it was crowded. The river was fun too. Altogether, this was a great family outing and we would go back. It is still under construction, so I think that there will be more to do by next summer. We were able to buy ice cream snacks on sale as we were leaving. I love the fact that there are bible verses posted all over the park. This will really appeal to Christians like me. Didn't like having to pay for parking.

This is not a big park. For the about $20/person that we paid, the value was pretty decent. We got about 5 hours of fun out of it. First things first. This is not Schlitterbahn. It is about 10% of the size. Its only advantage is that it is significantly closer for those of us in north Austin. Strangely enough, there is a significant lack of concessions (normally theme parks have stuff every 5 feet, but here there is only one permanent place to buy food and it is severely limited). Luckily on the day we were there, they had a Mexican food truck which made really good quesadillas. The lines for the slides are long. The ones closest to the front of the park are so shallow in their drop that you will often get stuck in the middle and have to pull yourself forward. The ones toward the back are actually really fun. The purple slide there has an awesome drop at the end where it felt like we got air! The racing slide at the side of the park was a lot of fun and good for the competitive kiddos (and adults). The ropes course is really challenging and will keep even older and more adventurous kids entertained. The "Bible" verses all over the place are completely inappropriate and offensive. They have no place at theme park like this. I can only hope that a park employee is bothered by them and files a hostile work environment claim so that they can be removed. There are children at the park and shouldn't be subjected to proselytizing. My guess is that they'll fix the operational issues before next summer and with a few things added on, it will be a fun half day excursion for Austin families.

My family was in Austin, TX for a family vacation. It was hot and we didn't want to spend our time driving so we stayed in the area. We went on a Tuesday and had Buy One Get One Free coupons. The park was not crowded at all. I hear that Friday and Saturday is way over crowded, but midweek was good. Parking is $5. Some of the rides were closed and the park is still under construction. We're water shoes because the ground is hot and the pebbles on sidewalks can be very painful on you feet (it would be nice if the park had a sweeper to keep the sidewalks pebble free). Zip line ride cost $20 extra.Pros: My 14 year old has autism. He had a great time. Cheap tickets when you have a coupon. Not crowded during the week. Good, friendly atmosphere. Fun for the small kids under 12 years old in our group.Cons: Park is under construction so not everything is working. One bathroom and one drinking fountain for the entire park. Lockers are $10 and very small (won't fit size 12 shoes). Teenagers in our group didn't stay entertained for very long. Hard to get here if you want to avoid the toll roads and even missed the exit because the road signs didn't help at all.Overall: I am glad I went. Good for younger families.

Our first trip to this water park and we weren't sure it would be a full day. We ended up staying from park opening to park closing. There's plenty of fun things to do and a great variety. I've been to many water parks over the years and I have to say that this one had the best lazy river of them all. I loved that the depth was shallow enough for my 6-year old to stand up in. The wave pool was great too. It was a smaller scale than some, but we went on a Wednesday and I wouldn't attempt it on a weekend. The only problem we faced was the long lines for the only food vendor being in the hot sun. I gave up and we ended up eating just snacks from the smaller vendors. They do need to figure that one out. Next time we will bring our cooler. All in all I think the park was enough fun and clean with plenty of chairs and shade to warrant the price.

This is a nice swim park - especially for younger kids. It does have some things for the teenage group - but not enough. My 2 grand kids (14 & 13) were ready to leave in 1 1/2 hours. At a regular water park they would want to stay much longer. Some of the rides you had to pay extra. The park was very clean.

I will start with the good things. Nice attractions, priced ok, great attentive lifeguards. Now the bad. We went on a Saturday, bad choice. Horribly overcrowded and the park did nothing to limit the number of people in the wave pool or lazy river. Result, two near-drownings within a matter of hours, both people were hospitalized, one in potentially critical condition. One child, one senior citizen. The lifeguards were quick to notice so it did not currently result in any deaths, but they did nothing to limit the number of people in the pools. However, they did rope off the deep end of the wave pool at about 5 pm. Kids under 13 should NOT be in either of those attractions without parental supervision and they were. TOO CROWDED and kids get run over by tubes, and the currents are strong. Personally, I lost my balance a few times. The food buildings ran out of most foods. They do not sell bottled water, but they do give you free water. Someone had an "accident" all over the woman's bathroom and it took close to an hour for maintenance to show up. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. If you do attempt to go, visit during the week and bring your own food and drink. That being said, my teens had a good time but would not go again.

We are HF season pass holders from DFW and we visited this location on a road trip here and to the Waco site (see my review of it). This needs some improvements which I hope will happen in time. One major complaint is the small granite stones that are used for landscaping ground cover by the orange and red slides - it was like walking on glass - this needs to be fixed ASAP! There are some nice sandy areas that kids can play in. They also need more bathrooms and water on the walk areas as the heat is awful on your feet by 2pm. I'm hoping more food places come as well as some water fountains that have cold water. The wave pool is pretty awesome, it is deeper than other locations at the top of the pool area - I think it was 5' 10" - and the waves are much more higher than the others we went to - it stays on 20 mins and off for 10.This is a brand new site for HF and it needs some help to make it thru the last month of a Texas summer. I was disappointed that the young kid's splash zone was not nearly as nice as the other HF locations we've been to - it needs some baby slides and more play areas or a splash bucket or...just more kid stuff. The lazy river needs a bit more speed but it is wider than other lazy rivers at HF locations and it will be much nicer in design and lay out once completed. I also don't agree with paying for parking - no other HF locations charged for this - or maybe just don't charge if you are season pass holders. We will likely drive down the 3 hrs from Dallas again next year and hope it has become a better park in comparison to the other HF locations - and BTW, it will never compete with Schlitterbahn or SeaWorld so don't expect that if you come!
