kawaii's

We loved Kawaii's. They had so many flavors available, including about 4 or 5 that were sugar free. The shave ice was so refreshing on a hot day. I had the margarita and Lemon flavored ice and loved it. My only issue is that they don't take credit card and that there was a little too much syrup at the bottom, but we truly enjoyed it and would recommend it.

This Hawaiian shaved ice is DELICIOUS and they have an awesome selection of flavors. The ice is perfect and smooth, and they even do a stuffed snoball (ice cream in the middle). I recommend you get that - I think they call in the Kawaii special. The place consists of two windows where you walk up and order, (or they have drive thru) with some tables and large umbrellas outside. I love the ambiance - they have a shark bursting thru the front facade and misters to keep you comfortable if you eat there. Perfect stop for a cold treat on a hot day, which there are plenty of here in TX. Only recommendation is that you'll want to check the hours before you go - they sometimes close earlier than I expect for a spot serving dessert.

Taking a trip to Kawaii's has become one of our Sunday activities. It's great after rollerskating in the rink or swimming in your pool, although it is a little pricy. Also, there can be lots of bees coming in during the day, AND their sizes are EXTREMELY big. That being said, although the high prices, big sizes, and bees can get in your way, Kawaii's has probably the biggest and best variety of flavors I've ever seen, so if it's a hot day in Round Rock, take a stroll on down to Kawaii's quality shaved ice!
