This is a nice park to walk around the Pond with your dog. The dog park is good size, has good grass, but may not be good if you have a small dog. My dog is about 18 pounds and the bigger dogs are not always very friendly. So would be good if the dog park was divided into two areas one for small dogs under 25 pounds and one for larger dogs. Also the park could use some more shade and benches.

Found this big, comfortable dog park in Amarillo. Lots of room for all sizes of dogs. There is water for them to drink. Today all the doggie poo bags had been used.Several benches for the 2-legged visitors; could use more shade. Most importantly, lots of GRASS for the dogs to run and play and rest in.This is a free facility from the city of Amarillo. Plan to go back the next time we are in Amarillo.
