The Laramie Mural Project is such a cool experience for visitors and locals alike. I love that the murals are all done by local artists, so they reflect the community's values (and help Laramie move beyond the impression of being *only* a cowboy town), and they are based on collaborations with building owners. The cell phone audio tour adds a ton of context and background to viewing the artworks. It's a must-do for anyone visiting town.

The downtown Laramie murals are both beautiful and unique. They reflect the vibrant culture and creativity of this wonderful Wyoming town. Each mural has it's own wonderful things to say about the colorful community of Laramie, Wyoming. They are each so gorgeous and fun. The kids will love picking there favorite. This is a one of a kind collection of local art that surrounds a wonderful selection of friendly local businesses. It's well worth the stop!

Hey all, when driving through Wyoming, either south-north to Yellowstone or east-west; pull off the highway and drop downtown to visit some of the most enjoyable art in the state. The Laramie Mural Project now has 10 sites all situated on buildings within an easy walking tour in a 8 block area of historic downtown...depicting local culture, whimsical fantasy, Wyoming heritage and just plain fun. The murals are all done by local Laramie artists and funded by the University of Wyoming Art museum, the Main street alliance along with an initial Kickstarter campaign. It's easy to stroll downtown, grab some affordable eats at local vegetarian, Thai, Sushi, Mexican, pizza, and eclectic restaurants...and do a little shopping at some of the local 'one of a kind' retail venues.
