This theater does not have a bad seat. It's a lovely, old theater. Seats are a bit tight, but you won't mind once the house lights dim and the show begins.
I went here on a Sunday afternoon with some friends to see a show. The seats were comfortable and since it is a relatively small theater all seats seemed to have a good view of the stage. My only complaint was that it was VERY cold inside. Parking on a Sunday afternoon was very easy. This is a very nice local theater.
This theater has very good acoustics. There doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house, in terms of being able to see what's happening on stage. I love the Nutcracker, and see it every year, usually at Lincoln Center. This year, we decided to try Bergen County PAC. A great alternative to going into the city, I imagine this would work for any performance that might be happening there. The parking situation is great, and there are lots of great places for lunch/dinner before or after the show.
Recently attended the Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Extravaganza at the Bergen PAC. Actually, "extravaganza" sums it up. While we had seats near the rear of the first floor seating (near the sound board) the views to the stage were excellent. The show was the best I've seen in ages. From the quality of the sound system, to the stage set up, lighting and the absolutely outstanding performance, it was the perfect night out. Even getting in and out of the theater was easy and well controlled. The Bergen PAC is an excellent venue to see a show.
We have seen many shows at BCPAC and have loved them all. We booked tickets to see a Christmas Carol which was sent to us on their site but through ticketmaster. Unfortunately my sister in law passed away and we are having a memorial service on that day with family from out of town. After several calls to BCPAC to speak to the manager Tiao, we drove over to hopefully get him in person. All attempts failed. We were willing to change the tickets for a more expensive show, we weren't even looking for our money back. After a royal run around we were sent a form, filled it out and waited for a response. It went to ticketmaster who sent it to BCPAC and then returned it to ticketmaster with a big fat NO. REALLY...how heartless! Done with you and so is everyone I tell my story too.
Excellent presentation of La Boheme by the Verismo opera.Music director was awesome in the orchestra music.
Don't feel like making the commute over the George Washington Bridge, pay the cost of the toll, sit in traffic, pay the $50 in parking and the high cost of theatre tickets and want to enjoy quality performances, then this is the place to go. I have enjoyed performances at this theatre for years. So many choices,. Performances by actors from Broadway, television and screen. Take the plunge and check this out for yourself. You won't be sorry!
We were given tickets to the opera here as a gift by someone who didn't realize it was 2 hours away, but overall we were glad we went. The PAC was very quaint in a way, especially as it had hosted some famous opera singers in the past, notably for me, Anna Moffa who I remembered from when I was young in Atlantic City and she was a teen practicing these same arias while summering with her family. Not the most comfortable seating, very narrow seats and little leg room which might have added to the distracting noises as people shifted about trying to get comfortable. May have been a lot of family members of the volunteers who were in the crowd scenes who were unfamiliar with opera and didn't understand about not talking or unwrapping candy during the performance. But the performers were very very good even with a tenor who had a bit of a thin voice, especially when trying to sing with the rest of the cast. Nice seeing opera in a setting that is not enormous and distant. Did enjoy the performance and would consider going again.
Been going to Bergen PAC for years and it continues to be a great small venue. Up close and personal, easy access, restaurants within walking distance and the ticket prices can't be beat. Grateful Bergen PAC has been successful.
My wife and I have attended several concerts at this old-fashioned theater from over 100 years ago. After being empty for many years, the theater has been extensively renovated and hosts many A and B list acts. We find that the best seats are in the first row of the mezzannine.
I just saw Yanni perform at the BergenPAC and enjoyed this pretty little intimate venue. The sound system was wonderful. It's convenient to many restaurants and there's adequate parking. I would return to this performing arts center.
Great venue. Lots of free parking, great small venue for an intimate concert. Loved it. Will be looking out for more shows here.
Convenience is the operative word here. Easy to get to, easy to park, easy in and out, and plenty of good restaurants to dine at prior to the show. The theater's best asset is it's intimacy. It could use an upgrade or two to the decor, but it is always about the band. I had an awesome time seeing REO Speedwagon although I was disappointed this "older" crowd set the precedent of sitting for just about the entire show. I would however definitely see other shows here.
Great forum for live show. I do have a cocktail from time to time, the bar in the lobby has everything but be prepared to pay for it, you'll pay $9 for a beer and $10-$12 for a mixed drink.
I've attended three concerts at this venue and enjoyed the experience each time. The shows featured different musical genres, but the hall handled the different sound requirements with great clarity. Holding only 2000 people, the Bergen PAC has an intimate feel, regardless of seat location...the balcony seats do not feel distant from the stage. My only complaint is the seat rows do not enable any appreciable leg room; I'm only 6' tall and could not get comfortable regardless of my seat location, orchestra or balcony.
