We stopped here for a visit to inquire about our upcoming wedding. We absolutely loved the grounds. Even though it was snowing, it was still beautiful! We met with and tasted wine with owner Audrey Gambino. She was very knowledgable and friendly. She also informed us that this beautiful site does NOT have a wedding site fee, which is amazing! Most vineywards do!The service was wonderful. The wine was delicious too!We purchased about 5 bottles. The Feliz Navidad and a few others.I was a little disapointed that we didn't have little bites as we tasted, but it wasn't a deal breaker. So happy we stumbled upon this beautiful place! We will surely be back!
My wife & I were looking to get a day away from the grand kids and saw online that today was NJ Wine trail day and that Villa Milagro had a R & R band so we drove the 30 minutes to get herePlesantly surprised by how bueatiful the scenery was and the wine was greatWould definately return
I have been to the place a couple of times. First for the class WINE TASTING BASICS. BOOTCAMP for your Tastebuds(TM). It was THE most informative wine tasting class I ever attended. The teacher and winery owner, Audrey Gambino, breaks down wine tasting for the layman. Legs, finish, color, tanins, acidity, sugar, alcohol, and swirling, swishing, and more! I am now the wine snob in my circles and I LOVE it.The second time I went was on the award winning Winery Train. A steam locomotive takes you close to the winery, then a quick shuttle ride later, you are standing among the grapes. Again Audrey informed us about the birth of Villa Milagro, and the long road the took to transform the soil into organic ready. She talked about her truly sanitary and organic methods of making their wine. She also as a complete surprise, prepared appetizers to accompany the wine tasting. It is nice to see purist wine makers on the east coast. Support them!
After learning that Villa Milagro was having a wine and cheese pairing event, we visited the winery and were just thrilled with the tasting! The winery sits on beautiful land above the Delaware River. I'd love to go see the winery and tour in the spring/summer since a lot of what we could see was snow covered due to our winter visit. The tasting area was very cute and decorated nicely. The winery offered four wines for tasting--we particularly loved the Rosita and Casi Dulce. The event was very nicely run and featured a local cheese shop (Cheese Please! www.chzplz.com) who paired 4 different types of cheese with each wine. First, we tasted each wine and then tasted each again with the cheese pairing. The Cheese shop owner and her dad were there offering information about the cheese. We were especially impressed two of the cheeses are made in Lawrenceville, NJ at Cherry Grove Farms. After the tasting they provided nice appetizers and brownie bites. It was a really wonderful experience and we left with some great bottles of wine to enjoy!
This vineyard is on a cliff overlooking the Delaware River. Nestled back behind cornfield there is a long road up off the main road. The wine was delicious and the tasting room was very cute. There are many spots to take pictures here, so bring your camera!
What a great little vineyard this was. The owner met us at the bus (from wine train) and took us on a tour of the vineyard. We saw the grape vines and how she and her family made the whole farm organic. The explanation of how everything works was very interesting. The tasting room was cute and the wine was delicious! I hope I get the chance to go back again!
