The best place for panoramic pictures of NY If you really want to see the NY skyline, (but you afraid to fly) try Boulevard East with runs along the west side of the Hudson river in NJ. It starts above 1/2 miles after the first exit from Lincoln Tunnel (exit at Weehawken) Truly wonderful view of NYFree on road parking.
I stayed in this neighborhood for my NYC trip in an Airbnb so got to see this view every day. It's an awesome view of the entire Manhattan skyline. It's really safe at night, too. There's access to the water if you want to climb down/up hundreds of stairs but it doesn't take too long. The homes all have so much character, too. I was here in the fall with lots of decorated porches- classy, not the inflatable kind of decor Seattle sometimes has.
Wow, you can a breathtaking view of Manhattan's skyline from here. We went on September 11 to see the tribute in light. It was beautiful. However, there is not enough parking there after 9pm and only residents are allowed to park after 9pm. We went around 7:30pm and spent about an hour. It's a must view place for checking out Manhattan's panoramic view.
Boulevard E, in Weehawken is possibly the best place to admire the Manhattan skyline in all it's glory. I have been lucky to live here over the past 4 years, and I truly appreciate the gorgeous sunrise and sunset every single day over the Hudson, and the seasonal changes each year! It's a safe and lively neighbourhood, a lovely stretch to walk down, parks, dog parks and benches galore and a lot of history. In the summer it's common to see a cruise ship or two dock into the port across the river, some lucky people who bring out their sailboats, many smaller ships and the 4th of July fireworks! You also have access to Midtown Nyc by ferry or by the NJ transit buses that take you there in 15 minutes. This is also probably the best spot for photographs with the stunning view of the buildings and the Hudson river in the background. I feel blessed to call this home!
Day or night, if you happen to be on Boulevard East, you cannot help but slow down and look across the river at the stunnig New York City skyline. We prefer to come here at night and take a stroll down the river edge at the boulevard looking across at the breathtaking view of the city all lit up in bright colors. We are mesmerized by the reflection of the lights onto the water of the river. Cant help but get romantic!
The views are amazing. Very relaxing to take a walk or drive around. You can drive all the way north into North Bergen. Many panoramic views.
Enjoy a panoramic view of NYC while strolling a promenade that goes for a few miles. Don't miss the marker for the Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr duel in Weehawken....some history with a view! Romantic for some and a family outing for others. It's a great walking, running spot as well. Many wedding photos have been taken at this unique venue.
I've lived here for 7 years now & never get tired of it. You can beat the view, the ambiance & the convenience of being able to get to Port Authority NYC in 15 minutes 24/7. Try out the Kings bluff area which has some history & character multi million dollar mansions. Can't rave enough about this place Boulevard East.
Best view of Manhattan anywhere! This is street offers gorgeous views of NYC hands down. Worth a drive or stroll.
The view of New York City from along Boulevard East in Weehawken, NJ has been featured in numerous movies and "action" news articles. It is breathtaking, especially when the sky is bright blue. It is, in fact, a Federally protected view.If you have a car, you can drive here (set your GPS to the corner of Highwood Terrace and J F Kennedy Blvd East) (the street is also known simply as Boulevard East), Weehawken, NJ. I like this particular starting point if you are coming from New York City via car or bus. There are other routes, however. You can also take NJ Transit buses from the NY NJ Port Authority at 42nd Street (get off at the above-mentioned corner).Once out of your vehicle or bus at the point I recommend, walk east toward New York City to let the view unfold. This area leads to long walks (you can walk as far as you want to - as long as you are on Boulevard East, you can take any bus back to New York City). The only restaurant on this particular street, however, is Charrito's at 47th and Boulevard East (not a long walk). It features beautiful views and reasonably priced Mexican food. Examine online maps of the area. Boulevard East is on a palisade (cliff). On the bottom of the cliff is the Hudson River and a beautiful parkway that runs more or less north and south. You can access this area by bus, you can walk down a set of stairs near Charrito's, or you can take a NY Waterway ferry and land right on it at Port Imperial. This is a perfect place to bike (or ride your adult kick scooter). If you go south on this lower path, you head toward Hoboken. Before reaching Hoboken, you'll pass a lovely boat harbor and a Houlihan's Restaurant, which I highly recommend for its stunning views and good food. There are also more expensive restaurants in the area.Note that bus service is covered along the way. You also have three ferry points from Port Imperial, traveling south to Hoboken. Now then, during weekdays there are parking restrictions in the area. Look up the City of Weehawken in an online search to find out more. These are lifted in the afternoon. If you arrive at the base of the palisade, you'll find parking around the ferry docks, especially Port Imperial and Lincoln Harbor.I am a resident of the area. Feel free to ask me anything!
Blvd. east gives u one of the best Views in NYC. I come here a lot and I never got fed up with it. Amazing! I got some great photos of manhattan.
Are you a NJ resident who never get into NY City. Do you just want to see the skyline (maybe you live in Morris, Sussex or Warren Counties?). Or are you an out of towner, come to NY with your family.Well, if you really want to see the skyline, try Boulevard East with runs along the west side of the Hudon in NJ. It starts above the Lincoln Tunnel and gives you several miles of opportunity to see the skyline. If you want an unstructure time, and great views, try this place. (If you want a name of a town for your map search, try West New York.). There is free on road parking. Not necessarily a lot, but usually you can find a place.
This is a must see if you are in NYC as far as i'm concerned. Get on the bus out to this road and just walk along the edge. You will be truly blown away by the views. I know I was. It is lined with parks and recreational areas making it easy to relax and take photographs.I had the additional experience of watching the July 4 fireworks from this part of the greater NYC area. Truly wonderful view of that too on the Hudson river.
