Mankato is very fortunate to have the Twin Rivers Arts center which brings together a variety of venues and keeps customers informed of events. The building is unique, historic, and charming. It is a great place to meet the artists, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the ambiance.

A restored church space, the conversion hosts gallery and artist space as well as information for other events in the area. Stop by to see a gallery show or for a poetry reading. It may not be fancy but the atmosphere is friendly and inviting.

The Twin Rivers Council for the Arts is housed in the Emy Frentz Guild building along with artist studio spaces, the symphony office and a small performance and gallery space. This is the hub of the arts scene in Mankato collaborating with other events for ticket sales. However, this is where you first come to sample the arts of the area and get directions to see what else is available - the Carnegie Arts Center down the street, where poetry readings are being held. And it is here where the city's arts and culture plan is spearheaded. Stop in, peek in on artists renting some space and get a flavor for all the city's artists have to offer.
