This place is really fun. Better than bar food, wine, beer, bowling and games for kids. Very clean, new, fun atmosphere. Mom's - drop off Dad and kids and check out Opitz Outlet next door for killer designer items 70% off or more....
Been here more than once with family, friends, kids...and it has always been awesome.Pizza is great, and the Mac-n-Cheese is really yummy. Will be going back many more times...
1st Visit. Initial thought upon entering - "the music is really loud". Hard to hear cashier when he was explaining packages. We went with card, should have gone with wrist band for as long as we were there. None of the staff were very helpful. No one told us where attractions were, we almost missed the Bump N' spin cars, they were tucked away in the corner, (my personal favorite). The other disturbing factor is that it is very dark which also makes it hard to find attractions. I really would have liked a quick description of what each were. It seems like you pay and then you are totally are on your own. Asked a staff member where the lockers were to hang our jackets and he replied on the cart over there, he pointed and it was a small metal coat rack. Would have been nice to lock away our personal belongings. I was a little disturbed by all the gun arcade games (and all the younger children playing them) but that's just me and my own personal opinion. We did not eat at BTF, ate at a restaurant on the way home. Of course, I'm the adult and not the kids and I think they really had an awesome time on a cold, winter day. I would love to have been able to try the trampolines, mini-golf and climbing tower, maybe in the summer we'll go back.
Been there many times and have fun everytime! Great for all ages. Take advantage of the daily specials ! Bring the kids..they will have fun! Great food too!
My kids went to visit for the first time and were very disappointed. Some of the employees were very rude and they did not get much for the money spent. After one hour they were bored and left. The employees need etiquette lessons.
When deciding to visit Big Thrill Factory, keep in mind that's it's mostly aimed at kids. Families abound, but it's all about what the kids want to do. If you have hours (and money) to spend, go for the wrist band. $35 per kid seems a little steep at first, but without the wrist band you could spend that much in less than two hours if buying the attractions separately--especially for the bigger kids who move fast and want to try everything. There is plenty of parking available and you can walk through and get the lay of the land before deciding what to play and how to pay for it. I visited with my almost five-year-old and there were a few things that he wouldn't have been able to play by himself--particularly the laser tag. Smaller kids can keep plenty busy with just a couple of the attractions. We paid $5.00 for unlimited play on the Big Thrill Machine (climbing structure with foam ball cannons) and another $5.00 for eight minutes on a trampoline (yep, eight minutes). $10.00 for a couple of hours of intense play was worth it to me. The trampolines, vertical climbing tower, climbing wall and miniature golf are located outside and are only open weather permitting. The climbing tower was closed for maintenance when we were there. The entire interior is dark and noisy. Even the bowling alley, which looks like a lounge with very dim lights and neon. Several months ago, I had checked the place out during a sunny summer weekday. There were only a couple of people there, but it was still noisy. I don't know why they keep it so dark either. There are video screens all over and they are playing different things. Same for music. All of these noises overlap and can be overwhelming because it's mostly one very large space without a lot of interior walls. The food reviews seem inconsistent. My guess is that's because the food and service might be a little inconsistent. For one thing, almost all of the employees are teenagers. Also, weekends are very busy with a lot of birthday parties. I saw one party group wait quite a while for their pizza to arrive. We started with a visit to the "cafe". I was starving and the noise was going to give me a headache if I didn't eat. I had a Coney dog with seasoned fries. My little guy had a hot dog with regular fries and a bottle of orange juice. There were a lot of fries in each. But it was $17.00. I didn't even get a beverage. Speaking of beverages, they do serve beer and there's a decent selection. I saw many parents enjoying a beer. For some, that might make the visit more tolerable. :-) The pizzas were hand tossed and looked good. Based on pricing, they might be the better value. Cafe service is fast food style ordering with delivery to the table. We waited about ten minutes for hot dogs and fries. If you can plan accordingly, there are plenty of other restaurant choices in the immediate area. There's a Burger King in the same parking lot. Just across the street in varying directions are Hurricane Grill, Arby's, Noodles & Co., Pot Belly, Dairy Queen and Chipotle, among others. Ike's Food & Cocktails is just down the street too. BTF does not allow outside food or drinks. I gave a 4 rating instead of 5 because of the noisy, dark environment and the higher food prices. Kids won't notice those things and would give it a 5. Yep,it was designed for kids.
For $35 per kid our kids ages 2-10 played laser tag, bumper cars, trampolines, big slide, foam ball play area, black lighted rope course and rock climb. I mean what a deal! We had an awesome time. The 4 hours were very well spent!!!! It rained that morning and they waited to open up the outside in our last hour which worked to our advantage as most people cleared out. The food was very pricey but not bad. I really enjoyed the seasoning on the chili cheese fries. Our son cut his knee while climbing front desk staff was very helpful. There are comfy couches for parents to relax and watch their kids which is nice for parents to take a break while actively watching. We will be returning!!
Have to say I was very disappointed with my trip to Big Thrill Factory based on the reviews I saw on here. First if you are going to go, do not plan on eating here. The food is overpriced, and not at all good. There is a Burger King just down the parking lot from here, if you are planning to eat, stop at BK first. I know for my family, we spent twice as much on food at Big Thrill than we would have at BK, and got less food, and definitely not better quality. On to the games, for smaller children there is a jungle gym type activity that my kids loved and seemed to be in decent condition. The arcade style games are awful, and you can tell not at all maintained. They have your traditional basketball shooting game, except they have like 1 ball per hoop. They have the football toss game, except have of the time when you score it doesn't work. Pretty consistently found that games either didn't work, didn't have the right equipment (balls). If you are an adult and want to play arcade style games or take your kids to play them, go to Dave and Busters instead.
safe and fun activities for pre-teens to 20 year olds on a rainy day or saturday evening. popular and busy. worth the value of the various package deals. from bowling, bumper cars, rock climbing, video games, and the big attraction - lazer tag. noise level - loud, as to be expected. concession stand available for quick bit - e.g., pizza, burger, etc. the larger your group, the better. plenty of parking.
I cannot say enough good things about this facility. First of all, it is very clean and well maintained. That was important as we have had birthday parties at other places( chucky cheese, yuk!) and they were filthy! The staff was so wonderful and very helpful. We had two staff members who took care of everything and were so great with the kids! All of them had such a great time.We will definitely be going back!
Fun arcade style setup that is great for kid's parties. We had 2 different birthday parties here and our children had a great time. It is not as structured as it is at some other party places, so the kids got to choose their activities like lazer tag, ropes course, bumper cars, bowling or whatever, so they enjoyed that. Pizza and other snacks along with soda are available. It is not the cheapest place for a party, but it is big enough that you are not always waiting for something.
Loved everything cant say enough how great the staff is! They all loved our puppy Diesel. The room was excellent the food is awesome hats off to the chefs!
What's nice about this place is they have a bowling alley together with the usual arcade gaming center.
My new fav hangout! Really impressed with food and service! Adult and kid-friendly selections -- all to die for! I've visited with friends relatives of all ages and everyone had a blast. Kiddos liked the multi-level ball pit, and the older kids like the laser tag, ropes and bumper cars. My son won an iPod in the arcade! (Seriously!? – Left a very happy camper!). Haven’t tried the bowling alley yet, but there is a great lunch and bowl deal and happy hour food and beverage specials for adults – might have to venture back without the kids to give it a whirl! Overall a great bang for the buck! Not to mention ‘daily deals’ and on-going Facebook specials! Highly recommended!
Great place for a 'date night' or family fun,(birthday parties too)..Lots for everyone to do.Food is great.Staff are all very nice, outgoing and helpful.I have been here a few times with my granddaughters,(one just turned 5 and one is just turning 2), both have lots of fun, and I feel it's a very safe place for them to be.I have read some of the other reviews and I am shocked...we have had nothing but a great time when we have been here.I think if there is an issue with no one calling you back or not getting the credit you were told you would get that if you were to contact the mang. or the owner it would be taken care of, they want to make people happy...As far as no target market...I don't understand that, there is something for all ages.Food is awesome, the pizza is great, and the Mac-n-Cheese with bacon is sooooo good.We will be going more and we have a party planned for a bday.Would I go back? YesWould I tell my family/friends about this place? YESDo I think this is a good value? Yes
